Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

no no! you gotta think positively! it most likely could be a good thing. also remember that it was a weekend! so if admissions doesn’t answer the phone, don’t get worried or scared.

did ya get any updates? I don't like how in the dark we are... I submitted my application in october too

does anyone know how long it takes for them to update your status after your letters of recommendation are in?  was waiting for my second recommender to submit her evals for me, but she did so Friday and I still see the checklist item in my status. I completely get that patience is important with SUNY so I don't want to bother them by emailing to ask, since it's only been one business day, but I am anxious about getting my app past "on hold" and onto screening. should I give it a little time or ask them about it?

Honestly until u email them that it was completed, they do not update it. I had to email them after something was done in my checklist and than my application status has changed

Hi, I was waiting all morning for a response LOL.

They emailed me back saying no decision was made and that my application is still under review. I applied in october. For a while, my status was just “under evaluator review” with “screening in progress” on the homepage. Then it turned into “File Forwarded to Program” for about 3 months. It was recently turned into “Under Program Review” this weekend. But now it just says “Screening complete” on my homepage with no status. Hopefully that means we are getting calls soon? I don’t have anything else unfortunately

I got a phone call as well!! Did they send you an email yet?

Wow congrats! I have no idea if I should expect a phone call yet because my application still says " file to program for review"

I got the call about 20 minutes ago and it sounded like they are planning to do interviews all week. So, I would expect a call very soon

But shouldn't my application change first like yours did? I am getting really nervous ahh. I applied in January

My application said the same thing as yours until like 3-4 days ago. So, I think you should still be fine!! Because either way, the program still has your application
