Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

Has anyone emailed them recently? If not, I can email and ask if the extended deadline will affect when we hear back about interviews/decisions.

LOL speak of the devil, they just sent out a big email regarding the deadline extension. Still gonna email them now though.

I just got the email as well. Last year, they extended the deadline twice and people were still getting interviewed and accepted before the application closed. But IDK what’s going on anymore LOL. If anyone finds out any information, please let us know. The process is starting to become very vague.

I emailed asking if we should expect to not get a decision until after the new deadline is passed/if the timeline for interviews will also be delayed. Here is the response I got:

”Thank you for your email. Your file is under review by the program currently-if you are sleected by the program for an interview they will contact you directly. Once a decision is rendered by the College of Nursing, you will be contacted by email regarding the decision.”

Do with this info what you will ??‍♀️

Oh God, I feel like this is the only answer they give to everything we ask! They are so not helpful

Right?? I don’t get why they can’t be more direct. I’ve asked other programs about their interview timelines before and they told me. I seriously don’t get it LMAO

This is so frustrating. They also moved the deadline last year. Now the program even starts later than last year. I remember someone saying they had a new director, as possible explanation for the changes. Beats me! At this point last year they were already doing interviews too. ?

Anyone heard anything from admissions lately? My status still hasn’t changed LOL
