Hi everyone,

I've started this thread so we can discuss and share our experiences applying to SUNY's ABSN program for 2021. Being that the application period just opened, I’m sure we can all benefit from sharing information in regards to the process.

I just put my deposit down for PSON which starts in May - I wanted to be hopeful about downstate but I think I made the right choice. Best of luck to you all!

I can see why. For the Summer start, people starting hearing back 5-6 months before. So I am guessing they are trying to keep the same timeline.

Congrats! I’m kind of in the same boat, I was accepted into Adelphi last week and have been holding off on sending the deposit until I heard back from a few more places but honestly think I might just go ahead and do it LOL

I don’t blame you. Good luck on your journey!! 

The least they could’ve done was been more up to date with their timeline dates. The interview dates still say december and January yet im not sure if any were conducted.

litterly just checked. Im taking my atis tomorrow and I've been nervous about it, so I am kinda happy I have extra time incase I do not do so great but also other programs that start in the fall/summerl have there deadlines on jan 31, SUNY is my first choice so I'm hoping to find out before the other schools or at least around the same time.

I had already put in my deposit for PSON too hoping to at least secure a spot at a nursing school. I had hoped to get into downstate for the cheaper tuition, but it doesnt seem like it'll even notify the results until we start school LOL. I wish this downstate was more transparent about the process and quicker.  Instead of randomly changing the deadline to April. Infuriating.

I hope they will at least start to notify those of us who are accepted before April... But since they changed the deadline it looks like I will have to put my deposit down for another school I got into just incase ?

This makes me sooo nervous. I was fairly confident in my application but now suddenly I’m not ? good luck to everyone! Hopefully we start hearing back before the new deadline. This waiting game is killing me

Oh man this really sucks. I got into Molloy but I do not want to go there. Too expensive. I was hoping to hear from downstate. Now the wait is longer! Soo frustrating
