Hi @mochanurse the interview was a group interview. There were 5 of us and we all got different questions. Some a lot harder than others. I was lucky and go the easiest question. Mine was "what is your favorite place you have traveled to and why?" I wrote like 2 paragraphs not in essay format. But the other people got difficult questions. I suspect that the essay questions are customized to get to know you more because in my application essay I mentioned I traveled. I was so nervous about the actual interview I unfortunately do not remember any of the questions. My biggest advice to you is just be yourself. Thats all they want to see. Wishing you much luck!
Hey! Congrats on getting in! Not to be nosey, and feel free to not answer, but how were your grades in undergrad? I'm stressing over my 3.3. When did you apply? How many years experience and what kind, did you have any certifications, what do you feel, if any, were your strongest points in your application? Sorry for the million questions. I've worked mostly in the hospital so I'm hoping my acute care will suffice. Good luck in the program! I'm rooting for your success!
Hey @YeoRN! Don't worry about it. My first bachelors is in Biology (3.1). My second is in Nursing (3.85). I applied January 2, 2017 and scheduled an interview the last week in January for an interview in the first week of February. I actually scheduled late because they were having trouble reaching me (missing digit in phone number). My interview was on February 6 and received the decision 10 days later. I have no experience as a RN. I am graduating this May. I have a CNA certification. What I believe were my selling points are that I have extensive volunteer experience working with a variation of populations (including a international medical mission trip), that have travelled throughout the world, been actively involved with a health organization for over 10 years and my essay answers on the application. I also had my mentor a FNP write a recommendation letter.
You never know what they are really looking for. Remember you will get in where you are supposed to. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey. I hope to see you in class! Please keep me posted
