Suny Downstate accelerated Program 2015-2016

Hey I know we still have about four months before we can begin applying to the accelerated program but i was wondering , what are you guys doing to prepare your application and Etc.

yes all of my prerequisite courses have been completed for quite some time

Oh ok. Have you done anything to boost your application while waiting?

I wrote a letter to the dean of admissions while I was waiting and got all of my immunization records in early

Congratulations, @marina nova on your well deserved acceptance. To have been wait listed so early and get to call i'm sure as one of the first off the alternate list is amazing and means you were just as great as the initially accepted students. Wherever, you choose to go, Downstate or Remington I wish you the very best. As an alternate candidate myself, I have written a letter restating my interest and also submitted a letter of support from my pathophysiology professor attesting to my current A- standing. My immunization records were also submitted early and all my prereqs completed. I am hopeful that this works in my favor as well.

Did they give you a deadline to respond by?

thank you. I know I have a tough decision to make. they have given me a week to decide and if I choose to attend I have to submit a deposit of $100 to hold my seat until the start date. the deposit will be applied to the tuition afterwards.

I was wait listed and just got a call from admissions about my acceptance today! I will be starting this June! I'm so excited!

(I am pending one prerequisite and got my immunizations in early)

I got a call from Admissions today as well. I got in! :) I already paid my deposit for Stony's basic 2 year program.. Idk what to do 😣😣

Congratulations @nyerica on your acceptance, what month did you receive your decision / wait list letter? Trying to determine if their going in month order.

Can everyone who got accepted off the wait list answer this question please. I know @marina nova said she was wait listed since Nov. Trying to see if there's a method to their madness. Lol

I received mine in January.

I received mine in January.

I was waitlisted on 2/6/15.. And I received my acceptance call yesterday.
