I applied to Brockport's Traditional BSN (4-year) program 3 weeks a go and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?

Yes, I did. I actually have my BS from Brockport and am taking my last few pre reqs at MCC. I just got my letter yesterday :)
Well congrats to you! I've done some research on this site and it seems consistently that the people who did get accepted all have gotten it on March 5th exactly. So apparently I wasn't one of the chosen ones. I tried so hard, too! I don't know what i'm going to do now
Don't give up hope just yet! You still could get something today/ tomorrow! My GPA was a 3.37. Nothing too great at all. I think the only things that really helped me out was 1) having my undergrad from Brockport (Health Science) and 2) having worked in the field for a year.

OMG. I've been a CNA for 5 years, will be graduating with an associates this may, and have an overall GPA of 3.7!!! I'll be devastated if I don't get in! I've wanted this so bad!! Congrats to you at least for making it in! I'm already going to Brockport definitely this fall but it sets me back an entire year and that's the last thing I want! I'm not getting any younger!!

Oh gosh it seems like you should be fine then!!! I think that's what is so stressful about a nursing program in general. If you don't get in for the term you applied, typically you have to wait an entire YEAR before you can apply again. It doesn't seem like a long time but when you are a littler older and have your heart set on it it's a huge set back.

It would definitely be a HUGE setback for me, because I've got the next 6 years of my life planned out ( BSN-->2 years experience--> Grad school--> make Babies!!!) and one more year will push all of that back! Your words of encouragement bring me some hope that there's still a chance, and I will definitely post back and let you know the verdict! (which will hopefully be later tonight!)
