Tweety hope you're feeling better

Stars sounds like a productive day

Went out early to do bird watching, but few birds to be seen.  At least the weather was nice.  Ran a few errands then met my friend N for lunch at a local place.  We talked for a good long time.  Then came home and did the cooking, a pumpkin soup recipe I found online.  Turned out pretty good but couldn't get it as smooth as recommended, even with an immersion blender

Today will get to church at bit early as I have to usher.  After church will be home a bit and then drive into the city to meet my friend B.  We're going to visit a barbecue restaurant and walk in the new elevated trail.  Rest of the day should be quiet

Going to be cooler today, in the lower 80s

Sounds like a nice weekend, Joe -- friends, good food, walking.

Hello all!

Our busy weekend is on it's last day.  Friday we went to Disneyland and walked our 12K steps, had a good day.  It was mainly cloudy all day, but temp was 74 with breezes so it was quite pleasant.  Yesterday we drove to the high desert (Hesperia), as the bluegrass association had planned a camping outing at the Moose Lodge for the long weekend.  Our RV is getting a new door, so we couldn't camp, which is why we drove out for the afternoon.  Arrived at noon, jammed till 2 or so, then spent the next couple hours just chatting and catching up.  The campers had pre-paid for a meal prepared by the Moose Lodge ppl, so they went in to eat around 4pm.  We left to come home.  Traffic was TERRIBLE over the Cajon Pass; it finally opened up at the bottom of the pass.  We sure slept well last night!  Today we are planning on going to Oak Glen for the Hymn Sing.  Fiddler will be their pianist, and we will play our instruments in the background.  It's usually well-attended, with 40-50 ppl participating.  We enjoy the old hymns.

Hope you all have a good day and evening!

Another hot and very humid day, cloudy, chance of rain at some point in the early evening, I think. Nannie is up, dressed, fed and medicated, and as usual staring at her shoes. Last night we were 'talking' about something on TV, but she abruptly segueyed into the shoe-thing, and I said, "I don't want to talk about your shoes. I KNOW about your shoes and we have already discussed those shoes a half dozen times already. I don't want to hear any more about those shoes!" And she smiled slyly, and said no more. Hmmmm.

Slept well, for the most part, but the twinges and zings and aches traveling around my joints and muscles were bad last night and are still present at a slightly less bothersome speed rate, so far, this morning. They were moving around from legs to shoulders to knees to wrists, to ankles, hips, neck, and elbows. Geezo cripes! I reckon it's the barometric pressure, but I still favor the rheumatologists alternate diagnosis years ago when I told him I refused to have fibromyalgia......He said, "Well then, we'll call it "wandering arthralgias and myalgias". (That was the basis for my own diagnosis of 'the gypsies'.) Anyway it is quite tiresome. Don't plan on going anywhere today, (except for the dog dragging me around the yard a few times.) 'cause ain't Sunday s'posta be a 'day of rest'? Let's all pray for another solid round of afternoon napping for the Nannie-person.

But, there is some of Nannie's wet laundry getting washed right now. And there are just a few dishes to wash, and I think her bathroom wastebasket is crammed full of used incontinence products.....so, well, but, THAT's a lot of nothing but the usual and not quite so much of it as in the times when I let things go for several days in a row.

At least I got three magazines in the mailbox from yesterday, and I started reading another book last night, so I will have my brain occupied with something other than talking about Nannie's bless'ED SHOES! But, y'know, now that I think of it, I'd rather it be the shoes instead of like Ado, having to listen to Gma suck her fingers. Sorry, Ado, but that's just the truth, and I'm really AM sorry for you! Maybe a pair of sound-cancelling headphones would help?as

Speaking of listening, I'd better put my hearing aids in, since I didn't do that yesterday at all!

That's the scoop from Boringtown USA!

I spent yesterday watching continuing education videos. The last one, about bees was interrupted when our cable went out. I did some clean up in the yard, visited with the neighbors who were doing the same. We went out for Chinese food. I finally folded the laundry I washed 2 days ago.

Woke up to 2 pools of dog diarrhea. Dh said he cleaned up another. Our boy dog got into some spicy noodle bowl that youngest son left out. Poor dog is laying very quietly. Thankfully no vomit, and he's been out once, and ate his breakfast. Ifs he's still under the weather tomorrow, I'll call the vet. I think one can give dogs pesto bismo but I won't without vet's OK.
Heading out shortly for a bike ride.

SiL and BiL came by mid-afternoon with loads of incontinence products. When I let them in, I said to my SiL, "This is not the beach!" She said they had been back for an hour or so, and she wanted to get that part of the shopping done today and not tomorrow. She will be back in the morning to do the Nannie-thing and then take her to daycare. (YAY!)

I finished the small load of laundry. Did not wash the dishes. Did put in my hearing aids and they feel fine and the sound is good, but I can hear that eventually they will have to have the sound boosted up, but it is no big deal yet.

So I have tomorrow yawning before me, and I am not really sure what I will be doing, but even if I DID know, I couldn't tell y'all, because me just saying something is going to be done, doesn't mean it WILL; I've learned that much about myself!

I don't remember if I told you this already, but one of the neighbor's white chickens got dive-bombed by a hawk and there was a six-to-eight-foot in diameter circle of white feathers in their back yard. YIKES! The husband lets the chickens out and sometimes leaves them out all day while he is napping or whatever; the wife tells him he should pay attention to them when they are out, and maybe not leave them to roaming freely alllll day. But, not my chickens. The only thing I have to do with the chickens is call one of the owners when they have tipped over their water container and are trapped inside their pen with nothing to drink.

So now it is 17 minutes to Nannie's bedtime, and I am ready for it, as she has not even dozed the least little bit today. Whew!

Good-night!

The conference started today. Yesterday was "just" an all-day meeting with our group of risk managers. Then dinner. We were invited to dinner tonight by a software vendor but I opted out and I've just been hanging out in my hotel room. I listened to recordings of 3 of the pieces the New Horizons Band is working on. Now I'm listening to the top 100 songs from 1976. It's part of my immersion into that time for the story I want to write. Wow...some of these I hadn't thought about in a long long time. Disco Duck? 🤪
