Looks like I forgot to post.  Was going to do so later than I normally do but apparently I entirely forgot

Hi Dianah

Stars it was good you were prepared

Ado at least he did some cleaning

NJ22 I think that combination of apnea and work stress could make someone quite irritable

Tweety glad there were no admissions

Rather odd morning, someone down the street is having a loud conversation on a cell phone in a foreign language.   Strangely early too, although maybe a time zone  difference?

Did bird watching but hardly saw any birds.  Had lunch with dad and had a knitting lesson at the yarn shop.  I did learn but didn't feel good afterwards, perhaps the teaching style is wrong for me.  Did some of the exercises recommended but still struggling with some things.  Felt a bit down the rest of the day

Skipped the Svengoolie movie.  Talked with J, he's still working on getting the allergy med right, thinks it might upset his stomach when taken without food.  He's going to try taking it with food.  We're going to hold off on getting together  until tomorrow.  Might try just meeting at his place if his stomach still gives him trouble tomorrow, but we'll see how he feels.  Going to require a lot of patience

Feeling better this morning.  I think after this Sunday we go back to 2 church services, so I won't  have to be at church until 10am, instead of 9am currently.  Might do a little baking, have some cookie dough I've been unthawing.  Might ride my bike if it's not too hot and the rain holds off

Could be rainy today but will only be in the  70s, which will be nice

I did miss you yesterday, Joe!  I am used to you or Tweety being the first poster of the day!  Taking a class, while ultimately the goal is improvement in an area, tends to accentuate feelings of inadequacy -- which is why I would take the class in the first place!  I think it's all connected with the learning process.  Good on you for taking steps to improve, and good you are feeling better today!  Do you have THREE church services now, and that is changing to two??  That's a lot!  ?

Well, our music that we were going to do today, has been put off to another day and time.  So I can go to the grocery store and do some chores, which is OK.

Have a good day!

Yes, Joe, you were missed yesterday. Knitting does tap into some fine motor skills that may seem awkward at first. I have tried to teach myself a different technique for "picking up the yarn" without much success. And yes, teaching techniques do vary. I do hope J can find some relief.

We went to breakfast this morning, taking the youngest gs along as he and his brother are spending the weekend. I miss my jogging and biking! But my wound is much smaller and less painful than 3 years ago, for which I am so thankful. I attribute this to the skill and caring of my healthcare team. Hopefully next week I can tolerate an athletic bra and get in a run. I am going to try and get dh to go for a drive or a walk or something to get away from his work.

Tweety, I'm glad your day wasn't too nutty. Yup, 80 yo's can have some weird reactions to meds. I once had an older man threaten to pull out his chest tube after open heart surgery. Luckily, his daughter was able to calm him before he really hurt himself.

I fell asleep last night in front of the TV watching a Spiderman movies with the grandsons. It was probably the soundest sleep I've had in a week, I woke up and forgot where I was! I toddled off to bed and continued until 4. Boy, I needed that!

My only goal for today is to try and find My Garmin watch that I use for training. I lost it a couple of months ago, and I want to start training for a another 10 K. I going to dig into all the couches and chairs, jackets and coats, and dresser drawers. That darn thing is here somewhere!

Woke up in time to get enough awake, before I came downstairs and made Nannie a peanut-butter and banana sandwich, potato sticks and a fruit cup for her lunch. Hubby came in from where is was dozing in his "office" (the Ford sedan) and now he is dozing through the rain delay. He always says ""I'm not going to sleep." and then he does.

The ballgame started at 1:35 PM. After about 2 hours, there was a tremendous pouring rain at the ballpark and the crew pulled the tarp over the field. The Braves were ahead 2-0 in the fifth inning, so it is an 'official game'. If the second band of rain goes through, they may call it, and that means the Braves won. But sometimes they wait the rain out for a couple of hours, so meanwhile they are airing snippets of previous games and plays to fill in the time.

I slept well last night, had a complicated dream with some kind of plot having to do with helping to look for places (apts and houses) for some guy who was a baseball player; a bunch of 'us' toured a lot of places. As usual in my dreams, there were the same corridors of some hospital patients' rooms and dormitory rooms for an attached school. Guess my dream's settings have to do with 'Live and Learn'?

I am (again) doing laundry. Yesterday's washing was all from Nannie's room, clothes and bedding. I went up and stripped hubby's bed and remade it, then came down to the den and told him he had to take a shower this afternoon because he now has clean sheets on his bed. He said "Okay" and went back to snoring. Today's laundry is towels and sheets, as well as hubby's and my dirty clothes. Well, at least I won't have to do laundry tomorrow (one would hope!).

The hummingbirds are tearing around chasing each other away from the feeder. Gotta get a second h-bird feeder; if they spend all their energy chasing each other away they'll use up their fuel before they get to settle and feed some more.

Pretty soon it'll be time for the supper decision. I hate this part of the day.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Glad to see you, Joe. Missed you yesterday.

J22, I get some of my best sleep during movies. Just ask my guys ? I saw my gearfit watch the other day and I'd like to see if it will work for me. Last I remember it was failing to charge.

Stars, my dream this morning was that I was working a nursing shift. My patient was clearly having a stroke and I was trying to implement orders but everything was going wrong. I couldn't find equipment or medication that I needed. ?

I used to clean everything on Saturdays. Bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, etc. Have never been good at mopping, though. I sometimes get asked to mop at the wildlife rehab. Fortunately, the main goal there is sanitization, not appearance ?

Thinking seriously about wearing scrubs all week at work so my "real clothes" will be clean to pack for my trip to Boston. I fly out really early Saturday morning.
