Thanks Joe.
Hello everyone!
We drove up to the high desert, spent most of the day there. Friends played a concert there at 8 (with the winds gusting), and we left around 9pm. It was a good day, got to visit with lots of ppl we hadn't seen in awhile, got to play a little. It was nice to see all the folks. We got back around 1030, went straight to bed. Set alarm for 0730, to go again, and dh reports a toothache. He actually had it yesterday, and pain was pretty well controlled with topical analgesic -- until we got to the higher elevation at the high desert! With the elevation change, the pain increased. He tolerated it, but it wasn't pleasant, in spite of the distractions of the day. So this morning he decided to stay home and let the toothache rest. I may change towels and sheets today, and do a grocery store run, but will pretty much rest myself. My voice is still a little hoorifice, and that nagging cough remains, though I am feeling so much better than a week ago!
Hope you all have a good day!
Poor sleep; my brain was running on and on until about 5:30 AM. Woke up at noon, gave Nannie her 'breakfast' and meds. Tried to rest for another 1/2 hour, but no dice. UGH.
Called hubby at the hospital ... he said they drew off a liter of fluid. He's on some kind of medicine 'for the drinking', but he can't remember what the name of it is. He said the doctor told him he might get to come home today. (?!) Not meaning to grouse, but that's just a tad sooner than I was expecting.`
Now, since we don't know what time the discharge may occur, I'm not sure about going to the grocery store for some much needed items. I can't leave Nannie alone, so she will have to come along with me, so I'm not sure how the sequence will work out. Ah, it is and will be what it is. *sigh*
Have the baseball game on for Nannie, but she keeps interrupting with questions about her son, then says the ballgame's color commentator has some gray hair, and she doesn't like the girl who does interviews down on the field. (SO WHAT?!!)
Ya turn the TV on, and have to mute it 3-4 times in the first three minutes to say "What?" because she just will not raise her voice. Ah, me.
May stop by here later----
Good evening.
Home now.
Stars, I'm sure your husband feels better with 1 liter off. That's a lot of fluid.
Work was busy. 6:1 ratio, discharged two and got two admissions. I'm very annoyed with my coworker who had no admissions until they called at 6:15 to get clearance for a patient to be discharged. She's done this to me many times. She probably could have called hours earlier and taken an admission but watched me struggle all day. She did help with me a blood draw, but she missed and griped about doing 'other people's jobs'. She probably meant phlebotomy but it was rude. I didn't ask for her help the rest of the day.
Humph.....
Hubby called a bit after the game was over and said the doc wanted to keep him there one more night. So, Nannie and I went to the grocery store and then got take-out at Cracker Barrel and came home. She loved being out and about, and watching people come and go from the grocery store and restaurant. Then we watched Funniest Videos. While I was out of the room, another show came on the TV. I heard Nannie laughing. Celebrity Family Feud was on and she cackled through two hours of it ( Four 1/2 hour shows). I left the TV there and she kept saying what a good show it was and how funny everyone was, and of course, you know that sometimes the answers on that program are, I guess, considered kind of racy...But, anyway, she kept telling me what a good day this had been and how she liked going out with me, then sitting in the car, watching people, and now this show with Steve Harvey, which I guess was the icing on her cake...
Oh happeeeee day!
Ah, Stars, sorry about your stomach but glad that Nannie had such a good day. It would be hard if she moped and worried about your dh.
Joe, is your crockpot recipe one you want to share?
Tweety, that was pretty rude of your co-worker.
We grilled burgers, brats, and hot dogs today. Later I went to the wildlife rehab. Took 2 young possums to release out at our city lake.
I told Hubs I want to go to either the lake or the pool tomorrow. Now I'm thinking about how I need to wash clothes and do other stuff. Sounds like his friend was suggesting going sailing. But it might be too windy. We shall see.
I am itching all over. Which isn't terribly unusual except for the severity. I showered as soon as I got home from Wildcare but wonder if I could be reacting to their disinfectant. There may be an antihistamine in my near future.

Hi Tweety
Dianah hope it doesn't prove too windy there
Stars here's hoping he doesn't have to be admitted too long
Hi Ado
Somewhat busy day yesterday, did bird watching and baking and had lunch with dad. Did an overnight crock pot receipe as well
Today will be quieter, church and then might do some shopping and exercise. J wants to wait until tomorrow to get together as his stomach is still acting up
Going to be sunny today, in the mid 80s
