Hello Joe, yeah, when I saw him point out the ascites on the Xray, and he showed me the syringe with the sample of the fluid, and I saw the anemia in the labs, I knew. When I worked in Radiology Nursing, we'd occasionally do series paracentesis on certain patients, -- every two weeks, drain 3-5 liters of pink ascitic fluid, for their comfort.
I didn't sleep well last night, though I was tired. WIll likely nap today. The sun is out, and the mountains are topped with snow. We have leftovers to eat, so I don't need to cook. Am still kinda dull.
Dh has all the soft cat toys in a cardboard box in the kitchen. He reports today that a small red "mouse" is missing. It was Suzy's favorite one to play with. Made me crack a smile to think of her hiding it for us. One last little tail wiggle.
Hope you all are safe from the storms. Have a good afternoon/evening!
I woke up at 5 AM and there was some light rain going on. If we had anything more, I sure don't know it, as I went right back to sleep. Today's temps will be in the 70's and the sun is trying to send the clouds away, but so far is only partially successful.
I'd like to go to Harris-Teeter for a few things I can't find anywhere else, but it seems I may just have to wait until tomorrow.
Nannie is sorta the "Gorilla Glue" of my life. (w00t? ... beause it isn't necessarily always a good thing.)
I haven't got much to say except the dishes are climbing out of the kitchen sink coming for me, claiming neglect,...so I reckon I ought to go see to 'em whilst Nannie sleeps in her recliner,
Hello,
Dianah, I am so sorry about your little kitty. I am sure you and your hubby are missing her.
Overcast, but raining, yet. My stupid foot has been intermittently painful, and tpainfree. It makes no sense. I was standing in line at the drugstore last night, and it was almost like cramping and burning without even moving. Laid with it resting on my rice-filled sock (my go-to heating pad) and it feels not too bad. So weird. I did not do my
We went out for Thai food last night, after picking up my carry-on from dd. Pad Thai with tofu. Sooo good. Ds texted to say he was switched to neurontin for his shingles pain with better relief. That guy hates to take pain meds, so for him to even ask for anything says a lot. I've taken neurontin, but it just made me irritable.
Gosh, those storms were something! Isn't it early for those? I think of them as being a Summer occurrence.
Ack, speaking of rice sock, I just noticed the dogs were awfully quiet. They stole my rice sock, chewed a hole in it, and spread rice across the living room. They are luck they are cute. Off to grab the vacuum.
No Stars, what a horror film sequence: dirty dishes making their way out of the sink with nefarious intent/ideas -- such growling and scraping and clunking! I hope you got a handle on them!
nursej22, yes, those lucky pups who chewed your rice sock, and I'm sure they ENJOYED flinging the rice all over the living room! An added bonus after the chewing! Pad Thai sounds good! I hope the neurontin continues to help your ds's pain.
I paid a couple bills. Should go for a walk but not sure if I want to, am still kinda dull (but I don't want to nap, so I can sleep better tonight). We are discussing whether to go on an outing tomorrow, with the chance of rain looming. Not much rain but enough...
Later!

Dianah sorry to hear about the cat, but given the situation that was the right call
Stars hope it's not too stormy there today
Ado yesterday we seemed to have some wildfire smoke although no nearby wildfires that I knew of
NJ22 glad to hear that people are getting involved
Tweety glad you have only 1 more shift and will then be off
Tried to do a little bird watching in the morning but few birds around. Was home for a bit then drove to pick up dad to drive to my niece's school musical. Was nice attending an earlier performance, we got home while it was light. Still a lot of driving, 3 or 4 hours total for me. Came home and had to deal with more cat vomiting, along with an insurance issue. Got both done pretty quick, cat seems OK today
Today will do cooking before church then after church will take the train into the city to meet my friend B for lunch and to visit the Chicago Cultural Center.
Weather will be considerably colder than it was yesterday, only up to the low 40s
