Hey, it is still the AM hours, and I am up and dressed! The only thing is....I dressed expecting weather in the low 40's, then checked the weather report which said it is going to be 73 degrees! In a minute, I'll go back up to my room and alter my haute couture to suit the day.
SiL left a text last night saying she has Tues and Weds off this coming week; I told her to pick a day, it's all the same to me. She answered back that one day she would come over and take Nannie over to her house for the day, and the other day she will come over here and clean out another Christmas Closet, and/or do some other cleaning project. Okay by me!
What will I do today? Whoooooo knows? Last night I washed a sink full of dirty dishes that were a three-day accumulation. And since I cleaned out the leftovers from the fridge, now I have another sink full of dirty dishes. I also have to hang up and put away my laundry I did the other day, but once again I have some more of MY laundry to wash, dry, fold/hang, and repeat. What else is there to say? The fun never ends.
I will be getting the $500 check from BiL who was going to bring it over here yesterday, but since I can't get the bank to open just for me today, no big deal. I suppose I could go out and put it in the bank's drop-box so it will be deposited tomorrow morning, without me going out for a bank trip then. I could purchase some sugar today, and turn in my $10 scratch off that yields me $20. w00t?
Okay, quick trip upstairs for a clothing change, then time to get the Nannie-person up. That calls for another half-orificed w00t, I guess. "One of these days, Alice" (Nannie) "to the MOON!"
Hope everyone's day is a good'un.
Didn't go to church again. The choir had to sing without us. Did finally get round to starting laundry and dishes again. Now chilling in the front yard with Dory and Binx. It is 79 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. In fact it is quite ? BRIGHT. Need to disinfect this house. I wonder if the hospital would let me borrow the big UV-C light? ?
I'm undecided still about the book club. The place I picked is a taco park so outdoors. And the more time I spend out here in the sunshine the better I feel. But there is so much work to do! And I do keep coughing.
Yet another gray, cold day. I did get out on my bike for a short trip to the diner for breakfast. It was snowing when I started home, so I came the most direct route. I walked the dogs in the rain. dh said he was going plant shopping but he has spent most of the day studying the inside of his eyelids while sitting in front of the TV. I cleaned up the kitchen, which needed it. I've put off cleaning since I cut my thumb last week. The promises of others to clean did not come through. Tomorrow I need to get someone to fix the dryer. The last time I think it took 2 weeks just for someone to come out and diagnosis it, and then another week for the part.
ds and I made planes to go to Mt. Rainier in July. We are going to stay in the historic log, sort of a bucket list thing for us. When I told dh, he said we should go camping too, and I said, sure, why don't you see what's available. I doubt he has done that.
Annie, you seem to really have caught a nasty bug. I don't know what a taco park is.
I have wondered about pickle ball, but I am not very coordinated.
Gosh, I wish it was in the 70s here.
Was good to join my book club friends. The taco park (just an outdoor space that served tacos and other fare, kind of food-truck style) was closed. So much for trusting Google. But all was well because nearby a big lit-up sign said "cocktails" LOL. Not sure anyone actually had alcohol, though. I had a mocktail with pineapple juice and soda.
There was a wreck on the interstate ... they close all but one lane at night just south of Norman to work on a big project to add a lane and I don't know what all else.

NJ22 that does sound like unpleasant weather, 40 and windy and rainy
Stars a Maine Coon would make a good pet, they're pretty mellow
Tweety that's understandable, it seems there are quite a number of issues at your hospital.
Ado I hope you feel better. Wanting to avoid book club this week is understandable
Skipped bird watching yesterday to make a lemon pound cake. Fairly long recipe, might skip it in the future as it didn't seem good enough to be worth the effort
Then it was off to the vet for shots and a discussion of the hairball problem. They did blood work but the cat seems fine. If the tests are negative then I have to try hairball medicine, then if that doesn't work a calming pheromone. She seems to be grooming a bit excessively
Rest of the day was pretty normal. Met dad for lunch. Went for a bike ride outside as the weather was nice. Looked up locations for pickleball near me and bought a racket and some balls online. Have been thinking for a while about giving that a try. Skipped Svengoolie and watched Carmen instead, which I rather like
Today will do cooking before church, then will go to church a bit early to serve as the assisting minister. Then will come home and finish making the bread recipe I started Friday. Will try and get outside on my bike again if it's not too windy. Also will do more dating app stuff. Still texting with that one guy, he seems more promising now, but we'll see
Today it will be even warmer, up into the low 70s
