Tweety that is a good BP reading

Stars I've never heard of cats eating birdseed

NJ22 glad that your sister will be discharged soon

Ado I heard about the storms yesterday hope they stay clear

Thankfully our hike yesterday was only about an hour or so, though I was till pretty sore afterwards.  Rest of the day was fairly ordinary, had lunch with dad, ran a few errands, and watched part of the Svengoolie movie.  Was supposed to have gotten rather good ratings but I found it dull.   I really prefer it when he has the Universal horror films from the 30s and 40s

Today have church and cooking afterwards.  Should be a fairly quiet day overall.  Starting to think about preparations for next week's family reunion, although it's too soon to pack

Will be a warmer day today, should get into the mid to upper  80s

Good morning!

BP this morning was 139/85.  Still below the 140/90 my doc wants me at.  I figured the low reading was an anomaly.  My morning BP's tend to be higher.  Will keep watching it.

Happy Father's Day.

Not much going on here.  I have a couple of things planned in the kitchen and need to go to the gym.  But also don't feel rested and might take a nap.  ?

We lost power for about an hour - maybe more - last night around midnight. I heard the wind pick up then the lights went out.

Today will be more laundry and someone needs to go to the grocery. Hubs got a Father's Day video call from stepdaughter. One of her twins was with her and chatted about the tadpoles in their back yard and about her sister being bitten by the neighbor's dog.

Happy Pappy's Day, though I think there's just a few Critter-Dads here, not any People-Pappys. Nevertheless, have a happy day, you guys!

I got Nannie up for the baseball game. She only spent 17 hours in bed, but she moves around in bed, just not while in the recliner. And probably unlike Gma, she  has GENEROUS MAXI-glutes. (That's a nice way to say it.)

Hubby scared me a little while ago...he got choked while eating grits, and 3x could not get a breath in and his face got deeply red; I thought I was going to have to Heimlich him, but with the 4th attempt to take a breath, he did manage to get in a breath so he could propel some of those grits out of his bronchial tubes. Maaaan, I hate it when that happens! To anyone, or to me. Now he has gone up to his bed to put on his 02 and rest. I'll 'wake him up' around the 5th inning of the game.

While the blabbing pre-game show is going on, I'm going out to refill bird-feeders and water. It's going on 89 degrees here, so they've GOT to have fresh water!

Hope the rest of this day is calm and quiet!

Good morning. I took a chance and rode to breakfast, and the rain started pouring down. So ds went home and got the pickup to give me a ride home. In the mean time I rode over to the grocery store between showers to get the dog some canned salmon. Which he didn't want. The only think I can get him to eat is a few bits of cooked chicken. But he's taking in water and currently sleeping and snoring in dh's lap.

I like the old Universal horror movies too, especially the ones with Christopher Lee, although I think more of those were made in the 50s.

Laundry is sort of like dishes at our house, never done. Dh and ds do their laundry, but leave it in the washer and dryer, so I end up finishing so I can use the machines.

I can't say that my docs have ever given me a BP goal. They just tsk tsk at office visits and I assure them its lower at home.

Plan for the day of weeding probably won't happen. Dh is watching the college baseball world series, so TV is out. Sis's discharge is moved to tomorrow. I will go visit  and comb out her very fine, very long hair, and get her some going-home clothes. They had to cut off her jeans and t-shirt on admit. And maybe I'll go for a walk.
