Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day.
I had some disturbed sleep as well. Finally got up at around 4:40AM and fed Waffles and read. Was able to fall asleep for another couple of hours. The book I'm reading is a book I've on my shelf a while (copyright says 2011) and I'm almost done but it's a bit boring and dragging things on. It has an interesting technique that each chapter is written by many characters that advances the story. Some chapters aren't even main characters as one was written from the perspective of a clerk in the hospital check in.
Made a reservation for the 9AM yoga class. It's an instructor I like. The co-studio she owns closed yesterday for good. Hope this one is successful as it's decently close to me and one of the only hot classes.
Have a great day.
Still morning, but just barely. Temp is 76 and it supposedly 'feels like' 89 degrees. 65% humidity, cloudy with a chance of meatballs, uh, rain, in the early evening. (I never have seen that movie, but I like the title.)
Nannie was up in her chair when I went down to get my coffee, so I gave her the meds and breakfast. Told her to put the tray on the little table beside her when she was through. I came back upstairs to take MY meds and drink some coffee, then get dressed before I have to start in with her AM-routine.
Don't know what I have planned for today, because I have nothing planned! I could go out and put a deposit in the overnight bank-slot so it is there tomorrow morning, but that would require loading Nannie into the car, 'cause I can't leave her alone at the house since she is awake now. I dunno, though.....haven't decided yet.
SiL and BiL have left for the beach.....they may already be there.
Welp, have to stop dawdling now and get with the program.
Nannie was sitting in her recliner when I came downstairs and she got it thoroughly wet. Yup, and Nannie's bed today had even MORE pee than yesterday! About a 3 ft in diameter circle soaking all the sheets and blankets. Of course she had 'neatly' made up her already wet bed and then laid down on top of it and wallowed around for a while. She was soaked from her shoulders to her knees, and said she didn't know it was pee, and SHE didn't put it there. So did some heinous person come in and deposit the pee while she wasn't paying attention? Of course this meant more laundry after I got her washed off and dressed in dry clothes. When I strip her in the bathroom I put the wet clothes in the sink until I can take them into the washing machine. As we walked by the sink, she said "What's THAT?" I told her it was her wet pj's, and it made her mad. I had to make her wait to sit in her recliner until I got a dry underpad on it. (It was also wet from earlier, because she took off the underpad and laid a towel on the chair before she sat on it with her wet pj's.) Just OMG, she is an endless ocean of pee. I know it was proven to be not a good idea, but I remember fondly the days of indwelling Foley catheters.
Now she is sitting with her head turned away from my direction, a frown on her face and her eyes squeezed shut.
Hope she goes off to sleep.
No Stars, I hope Nannie DID nod off. You are doing great, weeding and sorting through those rooms.
Tweety, hope you enjoyed the hot yoga (and I hope this class/studio stay open for awhile!!). I could NOT do that class, I'm glad you do it and like it. 🙂
Joe, hope you enjoyed the riverwalk! Good your dad will finally get his TEE.
We JUST got home from the wedding. It was about a 2-hr drive. We left at 8, got there a little after 10. The venue was at a lagoon preserve (the ocean in sight, past the wetlands and its trails), in a small meeting room above the nature center. Lots of windows to view the lovely hills and wetlands and the ocean in the distance. We watched the Coaster (train) go by several times, on its route.
The wedding was nice, very casual (they handed out Hawaiian shirts, if ppl wanted to wear them!). We didn't end up needing the 45 min of music we had prepared, only did 20 min and then the processional (Canon in D). We did Paul Stukey's Wedding Song as their recessional. Friendly ppl who were there. We declined to go to the restaurant afterwards, for the mixer. It's good to be home. 🙂 Stick-in-the-muds, we are! Once we got home, we realized it was 91 degrees at home today, so we were relieved that we had been near the ocean, where 71 (and the humidity) felt lower!
I did chat some with the minister's wife, E, a retired nurse. She has done lots of things in her "career" as nurse AND minister's wife!
So, we are relaxing now. Have a good evening!

Stars sounds like a productive day, glad the itching is fading
Tweety sounds like a quiet day
NJ22 I do hope you see some improvement from that tendinitis
Did bird watching as usual yesterday, then had lunch with dad as usual. Discussed his TEE next Wed, he wants me to take him there and pick him up. Which can work but will require me working considerably later than usual. Should be OK, so far doesn't look like a busy week
Ran a few errands during the afternoon and also stopped at the library. Was going to ride my bike but it has a flat, will have to stop at one of the bicycle shops and get a repair kit. Used the exercise bike instead. Watched a bit of Svengoolie but stopped because I'd seen the movie before and it was kind of dull
Sleep was a bit disturbed, tried an alcohol-free rum alternative, not bad in a rum and Coke but woke up with pretty bad GERD. Will add that to the list of things to avoid, my body isn't as accommodating as it used to be
Today will get to church a bit early as I'm the assisting minister. Then will do cooking for the week, then catch a train to head downtown to meet my friend B to check out the riverwalk.
Weather should be nice, think it will be about 70 without any rain
