😴 Slept like a rock! Ahhhh! 😊
I was down in the den and had my first few sips of coffee, when Nannie came out of her room, so we got her washed off and dressed, out to the recliner for pills and yogurt, cran-juice and chocolate BOOST. Now I can drink more coffee and wake up a liddle beddah 😲.
87 degrees will be the high today, with a feels-like of 100 degrees, and OMG 70% humidity! May rain around 6 PM, we'll see what we see when we see it. Nannie asked me if "the people" have been out in the backyard----nope, no people here but us chickens. She said, "the man didn't stay out there long enough to do anything." Even *I* haven't stuck my nose out the door because I figure at 70% humidity, it probably is suffocating!
So today, 'the janitor' (me) has to empty all the wastebaskets and trash. I just put the wash I forgot I'd done yesterday, into the dryer. And today Nannie's bedding isn't wet! Glory be! May run the vacuum-cleaner, but don't hold your breath!
Waiting for Nannie's 1 + 1/2 Lexapro to kick in and send her to Nap-Land. 😋 Gives me such a nice break me when she does that! I used to split the 1 + 1/2 dose so she took the whole one in the AM and the 1/2 tab at night, but the way the pharmacy packages it, they are both in the same packet. So who am I to make changes now?!
Just got a call from SiL saying she came by to get Nannie up, but the back door was still locked. Told her all is well. (They can stay away another day and it won't bother me one bit!) Once Nannie dozes off, I can find something else to get into! Works out well for ME! 😏 w00t!'
Okay, going to poke around on the laptop until Nannie gives it up and closes those eyes!
Later!
Im sitting here in my backyard (in the shade), enjoying the warmth. 85 degrees, 40% humidity. I tried taking a different bikeroute home from breakfast this morning, but a road I was going to take was closed, so I had to backtrack about 5 miles. It was pleasant, but I was sure sweaty. My knees feel better than they've felt in months! I wish I hadn't waited so long to get the injections.
I folded some accumulated clean laundry, took out the trash and paper recycling. And I watered some outdoor plants. I started to get a little dizzy, so now I sit.
im a little concerned about little dog's eye. She's squinting and it look a little red. I've been putting lubricating eye drops in every couple hours. I'll likely call the vet tomorrow if it doesn't clear up.
Evening all! I am currently suffering from selective blindness and am unable to see those pesky weeds in my flower beds. (In other words, it is way too bleeping hot to be outside doing yard work.) Did some much needed cleaning inside, had a virtual meeting with friends from around the country, and went out to dinner with family. Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow as I've been very spoiled bu the long holiday weekend.

Stars sounds like another productive day
NJ22 glad your knees are feeling better
Went bird watching yesterday, the weather was nice but few birds were seen
Stopped briefly at the farmer's market, then went to my cousin's house for lunch. Was nice though I stayed about 5 hours, longer than expected. Smaller gatherings now that my aunt is gone and one cousin is widowed and the other divorced.
Rest of the day was pretty quiet, watched some of Svengoolie when I came home
Have been focusing more on mindfulness and controlling anxiety, is turning out to be quite difficult but I notice it is already changing how I view things
Today will be at church early as I'm assisting minister and reader today. Not sure how things will work out as the minister is out with Covid. Not much else planned for the rest of the day except cooking and exercise
Will be a bit warmer today, in the mid 80s
