Helllooooooo to you, Joe, and where have the rest of us gone?
In the mid-70's, gray, with intermittent rain. Braves won their ?14th? game in a row today. Maybe 15th. They start a three game series with the Mets tomorrow; we are only 1 & 1/2 games behind the Mets. Hoping we whup'em GOOD!
Hubby and Nannie have been quiet today, so far. I asked hubby if he would please not 'get on' Nannie about what time she should go to bed. He usually starts in on her asking if it isn't her bed time now, around 9 PM. The more he teases her about her bedtime, the madder it makes her. He just doesn't know when to quit sometimes.

imma here. Just got back from working on sis's yard, trying get the grass and weeds whacked down to a tolerable level. She is an avid gardener, but with her heart issues, she hasn't done a thing all year. She had neighbors promise to help, but it got out of control. And we stopped at dd's house to do a little weed whacking and mowing. Her oldest is the usual mower, and he is sick with covid. And now, after a little break, I'm going to get a couple of plants in the ground. It's in the mid 70's and mostly sunny.
Hello all.
nursej22, good for you, helping with the yard work. Mid 70's sounds so nice. It was 97 here today.
No Stars, hope "your" team wins tonight! Good that your dh and Nannie have a truce today.
Joe, sounds like a good plan, to visit family.
Dh and I did a little music practice this morning, then after lunch I read for a bit and we just finished with the Jamkazam session. Will likely have supper and then I will read more and possibly watch some TV. I watched three of four of a series "Digging Britain," exploring different archeological sites on the island. Might watch the fourth (and last) episode tonight.
Tomorrow will head to the grocery store for a few things. Yah, real exciting here, eh?
Have a good evening!
Found this on FB. This is for you, No Stars:
Simple Explanation of Baseball
This is a game played by two teams, one out the other in. The one that's in sends players out one at a time, to see if they can get in before they get out. If they get out before they get in, they come in, but it doesn't count. If they get in before they get out it does count.
When the ones out get three outs from the ones in before they get in without being out, the team that's out comes in and the team that's in goes out to get those going in out before they get in without being out.
When both teams have been in and out nine times the game is over. The team with the most in without being out before coming in wins unless the ones in are equal. In which case, the last ones in go out to get the ones in out before they get in without being out.
The game will end when each team has the same number of in out but one team has more in without being out before coming in.
LOL!!
I went to the wildlife rehab for the first time in a few weeks (due to a little Covid outbreak they had among staff). Came home and showered even though our water pressure is still a bit low. The city had some troubles getting the tanks/towers on the south side of town to fill and I'm not sure those people have any water yet. We were asked to conserve water today. So I haven't run the washing machine or dishwasher but I had to have the shower ?.
There are apparently people on city water who have livestock (horses, cows) to care for. I guess I assumed those folks would be on their own wells. The city arranged to have some large tanks of water delivered but they didn't even try to promise everyone would get it. There's a lot of grumbling going on. Besides the water issues, there were the multiple power failures recently.
Stars, I hope the Braves won again! And maybe you had some action instead of a battle of pitchers.

Ado glad the water was off only for a few hours
Stars here's hoping you sleep better tonight
Hi NJ22 and Dianah
Tweety hope today wasn't too bad at work
Yesterday was a pretty good day, as expected. Saw a bunch of birds, got the baking done, met dad for lunch, and watched Svengoolie. Texted J, his flight apparently went OK
Decided I'm going to try and visit my aunt downstate this fall, haven't been there in like 7 years. Will have to talk to J when he gets back. Was thinking about going to Milwaukee instead but decided I'd rather spent time with family rather than travel
Will do laundry this morning a bit earlier than usual, am assisting at church so have to be there a bit early. Will stay briefly for coffee hour then come home and do the cooking. Might ride my bike if it doesn't get too hot
Going to get up to the mid 80s today, but no rain
