Stars I use Google Chrome, which seems to work well

Hi Ado

Dianah a quiet day sounds nice

Tweety glad you got the phone working

Was a nice day yesterday.  Bird watching in the morning, but hardly saw any birds.  Baked cookies later and ran a few errands

Met my sister and family at my dad's place then went out to dinner.  Was nice, was together  long enough but not too long.  Sometimes these family events can drag on way too long

J's allergies are really bad so we may delay meeting until later in the week, we'll see how he feels this morning

Church today and laundry,  and  might get together with J

Will be in the 80s again I think

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day and that J feels better.

I have to get some trauma CEU's because we're a trauma hospital and it's going to take a while so I hope to finish it up this morning.

Taking best friend out for his birthday which was the 30th and drawing a blank as to wear to go.  He's no help because "anyplace that's okay with you is okay with me" even though it's his birthday and he should pick.  LOL

Have a great day!

Awwww, come on George, pick a place to eat!  I know you will choose a good one, Tweety.  Happy Birthday George!!

Joe, what is J allergic to?  Too bad he has such a severe reaction!  Hope you two can get together this afternoon.  Sounds like a good dinner w/family.

Not much planned for today, let's see what develops.

Have a good day!

It's  probably some sort of seasonal allergy, or periodic sinus infection

Haven't heard back which means we won't meet today.  We'll try again during the week

It’s gray, and showery today. We were going to play mini golf, but looks doubtful now. Spent most of the day in the garden yesterday;it finally looks less like a jungle. The blueberries are starting to ripen! Dd is back from their trip to the Grand Canyon and she has COVID. She is the 4th person I know who traveled and came home with it.
Stars, I wish I could reach through the screen and help your computer woes. Hopefully Dianah can help.
ugg, seasonal allergies can sound like no big deal, but I’ve had issues in the Past. Maybe a coincidence but once I got. Prevnar vaccine, issues greatly decreased.

I would choose Thai or Vietnamese.

or Italian for a birthday meal. But really, anything I don’t have to cook would be nice.

I got the trauma CEUs needed for work out the way.  They were due yesterday.  They were so long I skimmed and jumped to the test.  Then I would fail the test on the first try, write down the answers and try again.  Problem was the 2nd test had different questions and a couple of lessons I failed a 2nd time.   Oh well, beats the old days of having to sit live for 8 hours but I did learn more that way.

I settled on a "New American" restaurant that has create your own bowls and pizza.  They have vegan options so I'll choose that.  Hopefully George will like it.  He's relatively easy to please in that department.

That’s how I do my yearly bloodborn pathogens, specimen packaging and TB testing: click past the PowerPoint slides if needed and take the tests. Hopefully I have completed my last mandatory testing !

Sounds yummy, Tweety!  I'm sure you and Birthday George enjoyed it!

We drove up to Oak Glen for lunch - dh had BBQ chicken sandwich and I had their veggie sandwich on wheat bread.  Dh enjoyed an apple cider slushy, too.  A friend, D, was doing music while we were there.  He played banjo, then switched to guitar, then mandolin, then fiddle.  And he sang.  Very skilled, to be able to play all those instruments!!

We met with De, the ranch manager (and our friend), and showed him my refurbished guitar.  Then he brought out his guitar and mandolin, and invited us to play with him and D.  So we had a little jam session, which lasted a couple hours!  De's wife S came out and sang with us and played spoons, too.  She has such a good singing voice, and she and De sound well together.  We did a variety of songs: country, blues, folky, bluegrass...  It was all very fun to play together, and fun to provide additional harmony!

Am I tired this afternoon, though!!  We had leftovers for dinner and watched a Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries episode.

No Stars, I will get the books in the mail on Tuesday, as all my mailing avenues are closed today and tomorrow.

Have a nice evening!

Another day of sleeping late for me, and sleeping between meals for Nannie. Hubby is out in his 'office' listening to the radio. May have told you this before, but he is really into listening to NPR now! Beats those off-the-wall crazies he was listening to on his tablet a while back. He comes in and tells me all they were discussing about the latest news,  and the documentary-type programs, etc.

We had rain during the night and early AM. It is still mostly cloudy and very hot and  humid.

Yep, it's another day of laundry, w00t!

Joe, I have Google Chrome, also. It is AN that doesn't like that I have Ad-Remover, and prevents me from doing certain things on that site. // Maybe if you didn't see many birds, you were bird-SEARCHING instead of watching?

I tell hubby he is "a delicate flower" because he has THAT kind of skin, easily bruises, and always getting skin-tears on his arms. He'll call out: "I need a nurse!" and bring me some band-aids to put him back together again.

Tweety, I guess I frustrate hubby because when he says, "What do you girls want me to get for supper? I can go here, or there, or there or there"....and we 'girls' say, "I don't care." Really, just put something in front of me and unless it is something I absolutely abhor, I'm fine, I'll eat it. The older I get, the less I care; maybe that's why you hear of little old ladies just having tea and toast...just something to "fill the hole". And inevitably if I mention a certain restaurant, he'll decide on somewhere else. So, fine, if that's what you had in mind in the first place, go there. I really do dislike thinking about food/meals. I also don't feel hungry at the traditional meal-times. I think 3 PM is a good time for lunch, and for supper? Eight-ish or so....

j22, I haven't had any Thai or Vietnamese food for, um, maybe 8 years? I don't know of any place close by, but even if I did, Mr. Meat and Potatoes prolly wouldn't want anything; though maybe if it's something fried and not spicy, he would eat some of it. We did get some Italian a few weeks ago, 3 orders of spaghetti and meatballs, but Lordy, they gave one serving that was enough for 3 people, so we had left over spaghetti until we were tired of it and had to pitch the rest out.

dianah, I told hubby I would be getting books in the mail, and he said, "Oh, no! What did you order and how much was it?" I said, "Nothing, and nothing!" He said "Well THAT'S good!" // I wouldn't mind trying an apple-cider slushy.

Another baseball game on tonight, will keep Nannie occupied. We watched a couple of half-hours of Celebrity Family Feud last night, because Nannie really likes it. She tells us that multiple times during the program. We did not know ANY of the 'celebrities'....they were from shows we never watch, and some from on Streaming channels which we don't get. But it is still kind of fun. Nannie loves it when they get 'racy' and she loves it when Steve Harvey laughs or rolls his eyes or gives odd looks to the audience,  at some of the answers.

Hubby is laid back in his recliner SNORING. Pretty soon it will be time for him to sit up and ask us what we want him to get for our supper. *sigh*.

It is time to switch laundry loads, so I'll be back to doing my domestic chores now. Hmmmm.
