Stars sounds like a productive day

Ado that was nice to help them with the baking

NJ22 glad you stuck to your guns

Tweety that would bug me as well

Dianah I suspect so, but I'll keep a watch on it

Yesterday was fairly productive.  Went bird watching but was only out 15 minutes as it was cold and there weren't any birds.  Have decided to put further bird watching on hold until March

Came home and started to make muffins,  only to find out I had forgotten eggs.  Had to stop and run to the store, but still got the muffins done before lunch with dad.  He was planning to take his girlfriend to church today if it doesn't snow

Exercised and read a bit and watched part of Svengoolie, but the movie was so slow I gave up after an hour and just read some more and ordered another book or two via interlibrary loan (which I seem to do a lot).  Have been reading Be Here Now by Ram Dass, rather interesting story about some rather unusual  experiences

Today will go to church early for adult education.  Afterwards will do the cooking, making  manicotti using the Better Homes and Gardens  cookbook I normally just use for baking

Will  be in the low 30s with snow likely today

Funny thing about Ram Dass, his dad always called him (sorry, TOS) "rammed orifice"...without the letter "r".

It is 40 degrees and gray and raining off and on. The nappers are hard at 'work' in their recliners, after I made both of them Pimento Cheese sandwiches.

Waiting for Nannie's previously wet sheets and blankets to dry. Can't get her to QUIT making her bed up and then sitting down on top of the made bed while wearing her wet pull-up and pads which had soaked through her pj bottoms, and the wetness soaking UP from the wet chux. THEN, later when I am putting her to bed she always has to check the chux and says "This isn't wet is it?" Ummmm, Nannie have I ever made you get into a WET bed? I think not.

Interesting turn of events---hubby phoned the doc they all used to go to more than several years before she went to work at the hospital. She is a family friend from church, when they used to go there. He talked with her about 'getting the monkey off my back' and she told him of a rehab place....but, I am not sure if it might have been the one our current PCP had said was the rehab place NOT to go through. I am sort of caught between the idea of calling the PCP to recheck that, and just brushing the thought off my shoulder and let things roll out as they may. Hubby said, I think, that he was going to call them "in a day or two." Yuh, we know how that goes.

4,658 sparrows were outside the back door (well, maybe not that many, but really a couple dozen of them) searching for birdseed that's not wet....so I went out and distributed the last of the (dry) bird seed, and now we have many kinds of birds flying in and out, chowing down.

Hubby was so ugly yesterday about supper...neither Nannie nor I were particularly hungry, and both of us are easier about what to eat than he is. We said if he picked a place that had what HE wanted for supper, then we could find something to order for ourselves. He kept saying he wasn't "going to play our silly game". I mean, he GROWLED that sentence, loud and ugly. So, I just looked at him and then walked away, and went out to the fish camp-type place to pick up our supper. I don't think he understands that we are deferring to him about supper because we really don't have a preference, but can always find something to order, from where he would like his supper from. How is that a 'silly little game?'

It is 3:15 PM and I just KNOW that stupid supper question will come up again. When it does, I'll just go get something without consulting anyone. Meanwhile I will watch the birds hopping around pecking up seeds.

Tee-hee-hee. When hubby asked me if it was too early to eat supper, I just said, "Nope. I'll go get it." and left. He just HAD TO call me and ask where I was going. McD's is where I went. He was happy and Nannie was happy, and I guess that's all that matters around here. Maybe one of these days I won't be the only one doing housework and running errands...huh. Sure.

Hi. Another gray cool day.

we went to watch youngest grandson play hockey. Alas, they lost by a goal.then we stopped for pizza.
My dh does the whole "where do you want to eat " all the time, and I find it irritating. It's a running joke between me and the kids. I usually get a salad, and most places have that as an option, so I DON'T CARE! Except that I hate when I choose somewhere and the food is not to his liking. Oh well.

I think a nap is in order. Once I warmed up after hockey, I'm so sleepy!

Good evening.

Finished up my work week floating to Neuro.  They gave our charge a full assignment and floated two of us.  Something that is coming increasingly common.  Not that I care.

They had 6:1 where I floated to and the charge had a full assignment as well.  Because I'm a float, I don't take stroke patients and the other patients were relatively okay.  I discharged two and got one admission and stayed until about 20:00 charting.  I got into a mess when a patient that fell yesterday and had a hip x-ray that showed a hip fracture.  The night nurse reported to me it was negative for a fracture and had been getting him up.  So he's going to surgery tomorrow and I did an incident report about the delay in finding the hip fracture and called the administrator on duty and washed my hands clean of it all.

Have a great evening.

Hello all!

Quiet day today.  I did a load of laundry, then trimmed the front bushes.  Changed sheets and towels.  We are enjoying Vietnamese leftovers (bahn mi, their lovely sandwiches).

I think dh has jury duty on Tuesday, so he will need the car.

Not much else going on!  Have a good evening!
