Ado I hope the depakote makes a difference

Stars I hope you feel better

Hi Dianah and Tweety

Fairly busy Saturday as usual.  Skipped bird watching and instead baked cookies for church coffee hour next week.  Ran some errands and worked on the book list for the book club meeting last month.  Met dad for lunch, did some cleaning and exercised, watched Outlander and the opera Otello

Today will probably try and get taxes done before church.  After church will pick up some groceries,   do the cooking for the week and spend some more time on the dating apps.  And exercise

Will be a bit warmer today than yesterday, in the mid 40s

Ugh morning here. Still have a low-grade fever, and my right hip, both knees and thighs are singing a very uncomfortable song, in spite of my AM meds which USUALLY make the aching go away, but not this morning. Going to 'patch up' the offending areas and I hope that'll do the trick. Having some intermittent chills and sweats....reminds me of those menopause symptoms I used to have when I'd be tossing off the covers and then pulling them back up again. Blah!

Last night I went to bed at 9:15 and conked out; Nannie was still up watching HGTV. At 10:30 I sneaked down the stairs and peeked around the corner to see if Nannie was still up, and she was. I didn't say a word, and went back to bed. Slept until 11:45 and did another peek downstairs, and she was STILL up watching TV! Back to bed for me! I guess she went to bed sometime before my last check of the den...about 12:45 AM. I went down and turned out the lights and turned the TV off, then back to bed for me. I didn't feel much like eating, but have been keeping hydrated, so I had to get up fairly frequently to pee. At one point I felt so woozy and as I zoned out while sitting on the toilet, I started to fall asleep, but then as I leaned forward to get up, I actually fell OFF, hitting my head on the side of the bathtub!! Tried to get up off the floor twice and fell on my right hip both times, which is probably why it aches so bad this morning. I told the 'spirit' of hubby to STOP making me fall, like he used to do. At least I know it's not vodka affecting me.

Anyway, SiL is coming over after work to get Nannie up out of bed and dressed, give her her pills and breakfast. She said she was going to go home first and make up some chicken noodle soup with a rotisserie chicken she has, and she'll be over to deal with Nannie after that. This is about the time when I get Nannie up, but since she stayed up so late, I suppose she's still sleeping. I am back in bed, propped all around with pillows to support the achey parts.

This is so irritating, because I have not been sick in 8 years! But, at least I know I've had all my vaccinations, so I doubt it is Covid. My body has taken charge over my brain to force me to take it easy, so I have to listen and do as it says: REST!

I may very well doze off until SiL gets here; in fact, I am about to turn off the light and set the laptop aside.

Later.....

Feeling a bit restored from the (home-made) chicken and rice soup that SiL brought over. I told her that Nannie had no supper last night, nor did she get her sleeping pill. She had stayed up so late, that I suspect her after-breakfast-nap will happen shortly. I told SiL that she didn't have to stay. I can go down at news-time and give her some supper. I dunno if SiL checked Nannie's bed or not, but at some point I will have to do that, so at her bedtime she won't have to crawl into a wet bed. If there's any laundry, it'll have to wait!

SiL's sister went to her cardiologist appt yesterday and he called an ambulance to do a direct admit to the ICU from his office! YIKES! She's going to get a pacemaker and ...?... something else done, immediately. Now SiL has to go over to her mother's nsg home and tell her about it.  She said if I needed her to, she could come back by later, but I don't think I'll need her to. She said she has to take her dog to the groomer tomorrow, but after that she will come by here to check on us. I hate that she has so much going on right now. I hope her sister comes through her surgeries okay. (She lives 3 hours away). It's a good thing, at least, that SiL has gone to part-time now....2 days a week at the ABC store, and a few hair appts. for some old ladies. Trying to do all she does if she was working full-time would be difficult to say the least.

Momo is more than happy to keep me company in bed, doncha know! At least I don't have to take her out for walks; she's pretty low maintenance, thank goodness. No problems getting her to take her antibiotics twice a day, either, which I appreciate a whole lot!

Toodles!

Oh, great, my temp is up to 101.2 which does not make me happy.

Take care of yourself, Stars! And let your SiL take care of Nannie (and you). She has a few things on her plate but she can manage for a couple days until you are healthy again!

I think my dad's pacemaker experience was similar. That ventricular rate is so low. Hope all goes well for the sister of SiL.

Left to my own devices I'm worthless until about 1 pm, apparently. Which gives me pause about retirement, as some of you have mentioned. It would help if Hubs didn't keep the house so darn cold. He adjusted the thermostat earlier and it's much more liveable in here. Maybe I should start my day with a good walk. Twin A says he would do it with me. Don't know if he'll really be willing but I may start trying.

Do take care, Stars. I'll bet SiL's sister is being well cared for. A pacemaker is minimally invasive, and perhaps they are doing a heart cath, which is also pretty routine.
You seem to be enjoying the operas. Do you ever sing opera? I think you said once you are a tenor?

Ado, I have very low tolerance for cold myself, unless I am up and moving. I enjoy walks, but it takes sometime to get moving.
We spent the day at the garden show yesterday. Saw lots, didn't buy much. Had a nice dinner out. The line to get into the aquarium was super long, and it was starting to rain, so we are just heading home.

G'day.

Stars take care and get well soon.

My tolerance for cold is not much.  I have decreased my thermostat to 72 at night but it's often 74 during the day but I'm trying to lessen that.  But I can't tolerate it much "colder" than 72.

Work was busy.  Doing an overtime shift tomorrow.  Bleh.  Will miss bowling.  I think we're in a tie for 5th place.  Doing okay.
