Tweety hope you sleep better tonight

Stars that was nice of your neighbor

Hi NJ22

Ado it can be hard on the surviving pet. Did not happen in my case as the cats did not really get along

Dianah that must be interesting to see

Yesterday was a pretty productive one.  Tried bird watching at the arboretum in the morning but it was too cold and cloudy.  Came home, finished baking the bread and did grocery shopping.  Had lunch with dad and went for a walk to test out my new fitness monitor.  Found the Svengoolie movie dull  so started watching Star Trek the Motion Picture again.  Have never gotten through all of it, as it's so slow moving

Today will do an easy jam recipe I found before church.  Unusually I will be both an usher  and reader this  Sunday.  After church will do the cooking for the week.  Have been trying to do more meal prep, like making overnight oats for the week on Sun rather than doing  it each day

Going to be another cool day, high of about 40, no rain and hopefully it won't be cloudy

Good morning!

I like to meal prep and am doing some of that myself.  Making an old standby chickpea and potato curry.  Will make some lentils to have on hand.

I slept okay but took my benzo.  My issue lately is waking up too early.  Like today I woke up at 5:15.  Going to try to stay up but I'll be tired.  Too bad I'm on vacation and don't feel rested.  Story of my life though.

After my Caesar died, I would come home from work and Ellie would whimper and cry when I got home.  She never did that before.  I know it was because she missed her companion and was lonely.  She soon stopped when I got her another companion.  Maybe when I retire, I'll have only one dog but working so much I feel bad leaving them alone as they are pack animals.

Supposed to be a nice day today here.

Rainy and in the low to mid 60's, but it feels chillier than that. I am tempted to crawl back under the covers to go back to sleep, but it is too late for that, so phooey. I could easily sleep until mid-afternoon because I slept so poorly last night. Awake every hour from 2 AM until 7 AM, when I got up and put capsaicin patches on lower back, hips and knees, which were all starting to ache, and eventually I finally dozed off.

But now I have to get dressed and go down to the den and get You-Know-Who up and dressed. She wouldn't go to bed at ten o'clock, so I told her to just keep watching TV, and said I would go back down later to turn off the TV and the lights. I just didn't feel like dealing with her ol' stubborn "I'm not going to bed yet; I want to keep watching this program." I told her that even though I usually put her to bed first, I was going up to MY bedroom, and she could go to bed when she felt like it. I heard her turn in around 11:15 PM, and went down to the den to turn off the lights and TV.

......long pause here; I'll be back in a little while......

Okay, she is up. When I went into her bedroom, she was on top of the covers of the already made bed; she had pulled a pair of pj's on OVER her clothes and still had her new purple shoes on. At least she wasn't soaked through to the skin. She wanted to stay in her pj's, which was fine by me. It's yucky outside and we don't plan on going anywhere (thank goodness).

Last night Momo got kind of weird; something must have alarmed her, but I don't know what. She wasn't shaking, but while we were watching TV, she kept crawling up under my chin, as close as she could get, practically choking me. Then she went around and was on my shoulders, and then slid down at my back, so just her head was sticking out over my left shoulder. At 10 o'clock after Nannie said she didn't want to go to bed, I took Momo upstairs and we got into our bed. (for all the good it did me.)

I told Nannie not to be alarmed, but that I might nap here on the sofa. She is having trouble keeping her own eyes open, and will probably be napping herself pretty soon.

Since it is a gray day, I dressed in a dark grey turtleneck and a dark vest, to suit the day and my mood, which is kind of BLAH. I may very well set the laptop aside and close my eyes.

Later~

We have snow falling. Supposed to snow all night but all the snow will be gone by midday Monday. Oklahoma weather. Twin A has already been called and told to stay home tomorrow.

Per tradition we have snacks for the Super Bowl. I finally made the tres leches cake.

No particular interest in this game but kind of like the Chiefs. Hubs is rooting for the 49ers.

We are snacking as well. And I made some cookies--Pecan Sandies. They're not bad, but they need some more flavor. I wonder if maple would give them a boost? It's been raining most of the day, and only 42 degrees. I got a massage yesterday that felt pretty good. My neck stopped making rice krispie pops. It was a new person who pushed a lot harder than the usual therapist.

I've been boxing up some kitchenware that I never use, and a box of shoes that I used to wear to work in the office, and my Danskos. Buh-bye. I need to sort out some more clothes. I have some Precious Moment figurines (mostly little nurses) that I've collected and might try to sell online. I'm not sure if it's worth the shipping. Hey, Stars, can I borrow SiL?

I took doggos out for a walk in-between rain showers. They were very interested in the kids playing flag football at the middle school.
