Good morning!
It's a bit chilly this morning but should be a high of 71 which is close to normal for us. Tuesday the high will be 55 and lows in the 40's for a few days. It's always big news when we get a cold blast. It will be much colder to the north and inland of here. We've been hearing about it for about a week now and I'm tired of the hype. LOL
Otherwise not much going on. I will clean the bathrooms today instead of Monday since my work schedule is mess up for the new years. I skipped it last week because I didn't want to strain my incisions but think I can manage today.
I invited best friend over to watch TV but he said he would get back to me as he's still in destress mode from his sister visiting. He did a lot of cooking and cleaning and some post visit cleaning and I guess he doesn't have the stamina he once had. Don't blame him.
I never made it through my Christmas music this year, just wasn't much in the mood and switched back to pop music. I canceled the order for the Charlie Brown Christmas album as it hadn't shipped yet. I'll get it next year as I do want to add it to the collection.
I've also started listening to the news again to bring myself bak to the real world.
Didn't sleep well last night and ended up taking 1/2 Xanax around 4:30 AM. Then at noon, Tinker started barking....and it was Nannie coming up the stairs to see what's going on. What was going on was I was getting dressed. I told her to go back down to her chair and I'd be down in a few more minutes, Tough going, as my right hip and thigh are singing, and it ain't the Hallalujah Chorus. OUCHIE! UGH! RATS! PHOOEY!
Supposed to be raining until 3 PM but so far it hasn't started. Gonna be a cool-cold day and the barometric pressure must be what is making the pain and aching so strong this morning. But, regardless, I now have to get Nannie up from her chair and take her to the bathroom to get her dressed. And so begins my day.
Not much going on. It got down to 25 last night and today's high was 34. Yesterday and today I made the dogs wear their parkas. Tomorrow they are going to doggy day care as a trial to see if they like it, and I may board them there in February.
I had left over pumpkin pie for lunch. It was one dh got from the grocery store. It tastes different from the one I usually make. I think it has vanilla in it, and fewer spices. I think I'll make my own pie next year.
I struggle to get the fitted sheets on our bed. I break my fingernails every time trying to push/pull the corners on the fitted sheets. It still beats using flat sheets on the bottom. My first nurse's aide job was at a nursing home that had those.

Hi Tweety and Ado
Stars these newer mattresses are harder to put sheets on and get into, given how tall they are
NJ22 that's a lot of pruning, having a device like that seems like a good idea
Dianah hope you sleep better tonight
Did manage to get outside yesterday, wasn't too cold although it was fairly cloudy and dreary. Met my friend J for a late breakfast, was nice as we hadn't gotten together in at least a month or two. And then had lunch with dad as usual. Did some laundry and took it easy the rest of the day
Today have to be a church early to usher. Will also do the cooking for the week and some cleaning
Will get up to the mid 50s today, although it will rain for much of the day
