wow, Joe, thanks for the photos! They are cool, but it is so much more exciting to be there in person! Good you got to meet up with friends! Impressive costumes, though I'll bet it is hot wearing them!
Slept pretty well last night. The cold is certainly better though I don't yet have my 100% energy back.
Stars, good that Nannie went to bed as instructed, hope she slept a long time and that you had a good sleep.
I am planning on going to the grocery store today, need some fresh fruits and veggies, plus some kleenex!
Have a good day!
G'day. after all.
Great pictures Joe!
Stars, yet again it seems you have high hopes on a doctor's appointment. Be careful of the let down. But having failed outpatient libriim hopefully this doc sees the light and finally puts him in rehab.
Dianah glad you're better.
I don't know what my drug addict sister is doing. I decline while I'm on vacation to inquire about her.
Have the afternoon free after a gorgeous morning of hiking and swimming in the pacific. Was going to the pool but It's raining. It is a rain forest afterall.
He fell again last night, on his way out to have a cigt on the front porch; head first into the hatrack to the left of the front door, and thankfully it was the inner wooden door he crashed into and not the glass door to outside.
I'm depressed. I guess hubby will have a fit because I don't feel like eating supper. Oh well, too bad.
I slept well, too, despite my long afternoon nap. I walked home from the diner after breakfast this morning, brrrrr! It's only about 1 1/2 miles, I had a warm coat, gloves and a hat, but my face was numb. I talked to sis, and she seems to be doing well. Her latest echocardiogram showed improvement in her heart function. I made banana bread and a raw apple cake to use up some fruit. Last night I used some leftover challah bread to make french toast, and it was delicious.
Tweety, your vacation sounds lovely.
Joe, good to see you are catching up with friends. And that kitty is feeling better.
Dianah, finally some restful sleep!
NoStars, let him have his fit. You get to have feelings, too.
Hey Tweety, The only REAL hope I have in the Dr's appt is that he puts hubby into out-patient rehab, so the *I* don't have to deal with him for however long he might be in for. I think it should be for 4 weeks. It will be relaxing not to have to keep an eye on hubby's gait and stairs walking. That's the respite I need....from hubby, not necessarily from Nannie.

Dianah, it's understandable you'd be grumpy. Glad the cold is improving
Stars I'm sure it will be a relief when he finally does complete that appointment
NJ22 that sounds like an interesting pizza
Tweety Costa Rica sounds like an interesting place to visit
Was a bit worried about the cat yesterday morning, she wasn't eating and had vomited a bit. Gave her some hairball remedy and by the evening her appetite had mostly returned. I'll give her some more remedy today and see how she does. If she still has issues we can go to the vet Monday. If she continues to improve I'll watch and wait
Was at the convention for maybe 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon and 2 hours in the evening. Glad I left the costume at home, would have been tricky especially since I'm just driving in and not staying. Has been a lot of walking and trying to meet up with people, but I have had the chance to talk, at least briefly, with quite a lot of people, including some I hadn't seen since before the pandemic. Will try and post pictures. The convention has a lot of events going on but none of them interest me that much
Have church this morning, am the assisting minister, might stay for coffee hour or might come home and get ready to head to the convention again. Probably will do the same as yesterday, afternoon and then again in the evening, there are a few more people I'd like to say Hi to before it ends today. Would also like to see if there are any good art prints to buy
Will be a bit warmer today, will get up to almost 40
