Tweety glad you're on the mend

Dianah a hymn sing sounds fun, I have a copy of the hymnal from our old church that I sometimes sing from

Stars I'll keep that in mind if the vomiting starts up again

Ado glad the morning was OK if the day itself was hot

Decided not to go birdwatching as I had a dentist appointment yesterday morning.  Was nice to have the extra time, stopped at the farmer's market. Dentist visit went fine, then had lunch with dad.  Later drove to the dinner with the over 50 group, the Thai restaurant was nice as was the conversation, total of 4 people so a small group but it worked out

Today have church this morning, thankfully nothing to do.  Then will come home and do the cooking for the week.  Going to do some more planning for the over 50 group. might try adding activities as currently I only do a dinner once a month.  Also need to start planning for the next date, will need to see what dates we're both available

Going to be a bit warmer today, in the low 90s

Gonna be 90 degrees today, but the humidity will be under 50%, so that's good. No rain for the next couple of days, just lots of 90's+ temps. So the first thing Nannie asked when I told her the weather report (like I do every morning, but I don't know why.) "Are we going to, can we go out in the car today?" Makes me want to throttle SiL! She has created a monster! And I have pretty much given up on Nannie taking an afternoon nap like she used to "in the GOOD old days"! Bleh! Maybe later I will load her in the car and we can go pick up something for supper. Right now I am drying my clothes that I forgot and left in the washer after the cycles were through yesterday. Nannie's bed is not wet (hallelujah!). Eight more hours 'til Nannie goes to bed!

Another day in La-La-Land (and NOT the musical!)

G'day

Reminds me I have some sheets in the dryer to take out and fold.

I'm feeling 100% better and back to my old tired burned out insomniac self.  LOL

Went to hot yoga today and will putz around the kitchen.  Listening to Amy Winehouse remixed on vinyl.  Oh the excitement.

Best friend and I went to the little theater last night.  It's not snowbird season so they discounted tickets and my frugal friend couldn't resist.  It was pretty good.  This theater seems to be our go-to as they rarely disappoint.

Hubs got a "great deal" on a zero-turn-radius mower; that is, it will be a great deal if he can get it working. He thinks he can. Goodness, he has a lot of projects.

We went to church this morning. I haven't accomplished much else today. Twin A's classes have started so he has been doing homework all day. I'm staying inside because of the heat, though I did use the grill for dinner.

Hi. After a cool, overcast morning, the sun is finally out and things are warming, drying out. We had lots of rain yesterday. All day yesterday I kept thinking it was Sunday. I was up early to go to breakfast and I could practically taste the crispy waffle I always get. I almost woke up ds because he wasn't up. And then, alas, I realized I was a day too soon. And I tried to watch 60 Minutes, and oops, that wasn't on either. I did watch an Antique Roadshow. It fascinates me about the valuables that get handed down in some families. I don't think my family ever owned anything of value, nor did my dh's. No silver, no gems, no art. We save money on insurance that way, LOL.

I gave the dogs a pedicure. They have decided they like getting in the tub to soak their feet in warm water. The big guy even sat down, while the little girl (she's not too bright) was drinking the water. The coconut scented dog shampoo must taste good. And they cooperate with the nail clipping, which is nice.

I had the weirdest dream last night where I was trying to fill out a time sheet and each day required several multiple choice questions be answered. I was getting very frustrated and wondering why this was so important. And then I woke up, so I'll never know the answer.

I've just been poking around today, washing sheets, folding previously washed laundry, tossing out some junk, which I love to do.

Didn't take Nannie out. She actually started falling asleep....but then a short while later, BiL met w/ a guy to get an estimate on the tree-work that needs to be done in the back yard. He is going to have another guy put in an estimate because the first one, today, was for $4,000. EEK!

Then I spent an entire hour helping Nannie 'remember' and telling her stuff about what she couldn't remember. She doesn't realize her son ("he's so cute", she said) is her son, and doesn't remember my hubby died, and who her husband was, and who is the other dgt-in-law. Then we had an "argument" about where she could go or what she could do and that NO, she was NOT going to go to bed because it was TOOOOO early. I walked her out to the mailbox twice because she didn't believe me that it's too hot for her to go out in the heat. But oh, no, anytime you tell Nannie something wouldn't be good for her to do, she is, by dam, gonna do it. 🙄 She will sit and bite on her bottom lip when she is trying to think up some question or something she wants to argue about.

I was able to distract her by getting her supper onto the tray and her lap.

AND GUESS WHAT!! It is time to put her to bed now. YAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!
