Hello all!

Joe, glad you enjoyed the museum. There will be more to see next time, yes?

I slept WELL, I am pleased to report (rather than grousing about NOT sleeping well, LOL)! Today I need to get some groceries and make a couple meals for the week. Probably will do repeats: the eggplant lasagne and the chicken tomatillo soup. I have not much else planned for today. Tomorrow I will deliver some mail to oldest ds -- it arrived here rather than at his place.

I got up at noon and took a shower and washed my hair. Next, it will be time to get Nannie up (oh joy) and then do MY laundry.

Hey! I'm down to 157 lbs now. 😊

I am having a quick cup of coffee before I open HER bedroom door and say, "Nannie-Banannie! Time to get up!" (so 'cheery' ! 😑 yuh.) She got up twice last night, so twice I was awakened by Momo sounding the alert. After I got her back to bed the 2nd time, I ate 1/2 cheese sandwich on multi-multi-multi-grain bread at 4 AM! I was HUNGRY! Slept like a log after that!

66 degrees today and partly cloudy, and so far the reports say NO RAIN for at least a week. I'll believe that in a week's time.

Nary a word from the iL's, so I don't know if they will come by this afternoon or not. I kinda hope not. But tomorrow, Nannie goes to the Sr. Daycare Ctr., and the same on Wednesday and Friday..... SiL's schedule at the ABC store hasn't lightened up any, so I may have to get Nannie up Friday AM, but have rec'd no "Intel" about that yet! And Chatty CG will be here on Thursday afternoon.

I kinda wish that I could actually have an entire night 'off' AND the next morning off, so I'd go without having to put her to bed or get her up! Time off doesn't include that option, though. If she stayed over at iL's, she "might get confused" (sez SiL, and she is correct), BUT that might mean someone would have to stay awake or be a light sleeper....and I don't think that's going to be happening, Not wishing ill on her, but the only way I could have a PM and then an AM free of her is if she was in the hospital overnight. But they always end up sending her home at a very inconvenient time, so I won't be looking for that to happen.

I just am soooo burnt out over her. I am going to TRY to treat her as if she were a stranger, ie, be 'nicer'. But I can't use a gentle voice, because she can't hear me unless I talk very loudly. And THAT kind of gets Momo's hackles up, because SHE knows Nannie is a 'trial' to be around, and SHE knows when I am irritated at Nannie! She does these little supportive light growls when that happens. And I am also trying not to comment on some things on TV because half the time she isn't paying attention to anything but her SLEEVES! Then I have to 'splain things to her.

Also, she always gets things wrong about the people on whatever show we are watching. It is amazing how she thinks the realtors are trying to MAKE the customers do or say certain things.....ie she attributes their actions and words as being pushy and negative. Personally I am tired of hearing spouses (spices?) argue with each other about various aspects of whatever house they are looking at.....and some of the spouses should just be DIVORCED! You have to wonder how they were attracted to each other in the first place because they can't agree on anything.

And here *I* am again, grousing and grumbling. I sure feel tiresome and tedious to myself! Sorry for y'all that I am a one-trick-pony in that regard.

I KNOW that Nannie has dementia that is eroding her brain, so WHY do I expect her to be any different than she is being?

Do you know that I have known her for something like 36 years or so? And have lived here with her for about 8 years. I am just saying that in spite of the dementia, she still retains much of the unpleasant 'personality' qualities she had previous to her diagnosis.

Let's see if I can go 24 hours without posting about her. It is now 4:30 PM on Sunday; let the clock begin!

We seem to be the only support group you have. I don't mind reading of your frustrations. I imagine it might feel better that you are interacting with others rather than just Journaling.

Agree, No Stars. I would rather read about what's going on daily -- or more often, depending on the goings-on and the level of excitement they generate! -- than to not hear from you.

I did the grocery store run, and just finished baking the eggplant lasagne and making the Chicken Tomatillo Soup. Heh, I realized -- only just NOW -- that I'd bought and used Monterey Jack cheese instead of Mozzarella in the eggplant lasagne! It dawned on me after I'd made the lasagne. I then rummaged around in the cheese drawer and found about a cup of shredded mozzarella, which went onto the top of the lasagne before it was baked. So, it does have the token REAL italian cheese. I guess when I was shopping, my brain saw the mo of monterey jack and just latched onto it, yelling (to my arms and hands) GRAB THAT!! So, that means I need to make the eggplant lasagne again soon, WITH the mozzarella instead of the jack cheese! Yah, I know: First World Problems.

Apparently, dh says we should expect some rain on Wed-Thur-Fri, with some snow in the mountains. It is 77 right now, at ~ 5pm, I don't think it got to 88 degrees today, thankfully.
