Good morning!
Joe, glad that you're starting to feel better.
I was only in a bad mood on Friday after work. I was tired and my dental work was bothering me.
Stars, I hope the family drama settles down and your husband physically is okay. EEEEEK
A friend of mine has covid. Rates are going up again here.
Yesterday, I rested and went to hot yoga. Rather uneventful day. Tonight best friend and I are going to see Elton John. I've already seen this tour a couple of years ago but my niece gave me tickets not knowing I'd already been. He canceled because of illness, and then covid hit. I've had these tickets for a couple of year and am looking forward to it since it's been a couple of years since I've seen him. Likely will be the last.
Tweety, sounds like fun! Enjoy the concert!! Hope you can stay away from "the 'Rona"!!
No Stars, remember: we are all nurses. EEK doesn't really bother us... ? Hope your bowel issues have settled down. Any cause???
Joe, good you are feeling better! What's on the menu today, to be cooked?
Spent a lot of yesterday at the Emergency Vet, as the Manx cat Toby (who has been losing weight) had a bout of vomiting on Friday that had us concerned. The vet was VERY busy. I basically dropped him off, and after giving a H&P to the front office person, I left. The vet called back and we authorized lab work (*ahem* and payment!). Vet then texted me around 8pm that labs would be drawn, it would take about an hour for results. Hadn't rec'd call back by 1030 so I called and was on hold for a long time, then got a text from the vet: every thing (thyroid, blood sugar, chemistries) looked good, just a "mild" UTI. They proposed treating with abx, anti-nausea med, and subcutaneous fluid administration, as he was a little dehydrated. I said OK, then around 11pm drove over to get him. They brought him out quickly, then I sat in the lobby till 1215, while they finished printing the invoice and gave verbal discharge instructions. (they were obviously VERY busy, from the looks of the lobby and also of the staff running back and forth from the front office computers to the back treatment area)
But, Toby is home now and looks like his old self. ? We are happy to have him home. I have to assume the weight loss is due to his new/improved food (Blue Buffalo). He is not underweight, as he was quite overweight to begin with. But we are just keeping an eye on him.
Today we are getting ready to go to Disneyland for Dapper Day. We have dinner reservations at one of the DCA restaurants, and we have tickets for the EXPO at the Disneyland Hotel (it's always fun to browse there and check out the styles and hats and accessories, and hear the music). We are looking forward to this, even in 89 degrees! Hope to see some of our musician friends too.
Have a good day!
Hi. Another mild day here, although rain is or was forecast for tonight. I rode with friends of eldest ds and DIL past the tulip fields yesterday, stopping at a bakery and 2 breweries. In total I think I rode about 20 miles. It was very nice, even if I inhaled about 20 pounds of pollen, and at least 2 bugs. The farmers were working like crazy, plowing, spreading lime, and tilling. And the "honey wagons" must have been out, due to occasional whiff of manure. The tulips were stunning, as usual, but there was a lot of traffic at times, on narrow roads. All in all, and enjoyable day. Boy did I sleep hard after that! Today is yard work day, especially mow!
Tweety, have fun at your concert! Dh and I are considering going to see Elton John this fall.
Joe, I would be very anxious to go outside, too!
Stars, I hope your GI problems are clearing up. No fun, at all! It seems like after the initial, drama, your hubby seems to remember that his daughter is after all, an adult. Mental illness is tough, but it is not something he can fix.
Dianah, have fun at Disneyland! Glad to see your kitty is getting back to normal. My few times at an emergency vet were tough, but I am thankful they are there when needed.
I have been having the weirdest sensation in my right ear. I will get this weird vibration for a minute or two, almost like feeling your pulse, but it's really fast. I wonder if I am sensing my atrial flutter? I've also come to realize that I have some tinnitus that I never sensed until I started to mindfulness/meditation on a regular basis. That sort of explains why I can't always understand dh when he mumbles something as he is walking away from me into another room.
Dianah, so glad it wasn't anything serious with the Toby. Getting hydrated probably made him feel much better. What is a "DCA restaurant"? Have fun, hope to see some pictures!
Stars, hope you're feeling okay.
J22, I have sometimes felt a pulse in my ear, I think when laying down. Have some mild tinnitus myself. Hope it doesn't get worse for us.
Found out yet another friend has covid. Both friends went the whole pandemic so far without getting it. I'm still waiting my turn.
Watching the opening of America's Funniest Videos and once again Nannie sees Alfonso Ribbero (sp?) walking down the stairs and she once again she focused right in on his 'package' by saying, "When he walks, you can tell how 'hot' he is." (?????? ? Nannie !! )
The Eeek was of unknown etiology. Possibly sustained suppressed stress (ie, nerves, -----or 'noives' if you're from 'Joisey'), from listening to the soap opera's numerous updates. Not that I have to do anything about any of it, but as a good wife, I do have to listen...and listen...and listen. And listening to all that 'crap', well, maybe what pours in must eventually pour out? I mean, like, y'know, as they sometimes used to say on some of the early reality TV crime shows, "then suddenly, without warning..." {So far, today has been quiet.}
j22, TWENTY MILES??? Yikes! Could it be that a small flying insect dove into your ear while you were out riding around? [maybe?] -- [or not.]
dianah, Hope you had a happy Dapper Day! Bet you were glad to get back into some AC after being dapper in the heat of the day!
Glad that Toby, Joe, and I are all feeling better today. ? The rest of y'all try to stay out of trouble!

Tweety hope your mood is better
Stars hope your stomach has settled down
Yesterday was a slow day for me, did a lot of reading and stayed indoors. Will be glad once I can get outside again on Tues
The fever is definitely gone, as are most of the symptoms. Had a bad coughing fit as I was trying to go to sleep, so I had to sit up a bit and read before it settled down. Should not have taken that decongestant right before bedtime...
Feel pretty much normal today. Will do laundry before church, as usual. Will be doing church online rather than in person today. Will also get some cooking done
Was quite warm yesterday, up to 80, think it will get up to 70 today but rainy and stormy later
