If you are taking classes this summer, what are you taking?
I'm enrolled in A&P I for Summer I and A&P II for Summer II.
Also, in the Fall I'm taking Microbiology and Music Appreciation. Then I'm done with all my pre-requisites for the ADN program!
I'm taking stats and a basic chem class online this summer and then another chem class and general bio in the fall...after that I should be able to start the prereqs I actually need haha (o-chem, micro, and A&P!). Got the last spot in the chem class I wanted for fall, so if all goes well I should be done by spring and will be able to start a BSN or entry-level MSN (fingers crossed!) in summer or fall '13!
I think it's mostly a BSN thing. I took it with my ADN prereqs so I could do direct entry into a BSN program right after graduation.
Yes thats why I will be taking it. After this semester I will have all pre and coreqs completed for both the ADN and BSN. So I will have 4 semesters to finish the ADN, during the last semester of the ADN I will be allowed to start taking some BSN nursing courses, and 2 more semesters after that I will have the BSN completed.
I just started my Pre-RN classes this summer. I'm taking Medical Terminology and Math Modeling (they didn't take my College Algebra credit because it was four years ago, ARGH!). I completed most of my B.A. but after the intense difficulty of finding a steady job in the education field I decided to go into nursing (it was always my plan B!). I'm really excited for the journey ahead, and since I've been through college already, I'm all the more determined to succeed. Anyway, my classes are great, and I'm not having trouble. They just move very quickly since it's only a ten week course rather than fifteen!
Good luck, everyone!
I am taking Pathophysiology, Anatomy 2, and Microbiology. In fall I will take Chemistry, Math 1010, and Psychology and then I will be ready to apply also! It's kicking my butt right now.
I took physiology, chemistry, and micribiology spring semester. It was tough pulled through it though. I am taking pathophysiology, nutrition, intro to nursing, and government class. This is making my summer go by quickly and I start nursing school in the fall.

I wish my program required Nutrition. I'm sure it will be a great help in the clinical (especially hospital/LTC) setting!
