Summer 2021 Nurse Residency Programs at SCL, Denver, and HealthONE

Thought I would start a thread in case others are looking for info about these residencies. Please share any news about interviews, units hiring, experiences etc! Good luck everyone!

 

 

So far my Denver Health applications just say "Further Review." I've had one preliminary interview with SCL Health and HCA HealthONE and have two interviews with HealthONE this week (both at PSL). My ultimate goal is pediatric nursing and am waiting to hear from CHC. 

Is anyone else planning to apply to the Summer Centura residency if you aren't offered something you want from these hospitals?

I was told by HCA recruiters that they don’t hire new grads into any of their peds units. Which units are u interviewing with and for which start dates? I have an offer that would begin may 31 with HCA but still waiting to hear from UCHealth and Childrens.

You are correct! They do not hire new grads directly into ped's units. (Congrats on your offer btw) I have an offer for the BMT unit at PSL to start in the fall.

Congrats! I’m not too familiar with BMT, what is the pt ratio, and is it adults only? Did u apply to UCHealth?

Thanks!! It is adults and from what I've heard the patient ratio is usually about 3:1 (or 2:1 or 1:1 if you are in the BMT-ICU). And no, I did not apply to UCHealth. Only HCA, Denver, SCL and CHC. ?

Congratulations!! I have an ICU position with HealthONE that I’m considering! What hospital and unit is your interview for? This is exciting!

Oh really awesome!! It’s for the Medical Center of Aurora. And I am going to get more details soon regarding which unit ?
