Hi everyone,
How many of you have applied for the 2013 Accelerated BSN/MSN program at JHU SON? I applied early decision and completed my phone interview on the 26th. They said they will start making decisions calls around the December 15th which is a Saturday so I'm sure we won't hear anything until the 17th or later.
Is anyone else as anxious as I am to hear back from them? I even made a vision board on my fridge that reads: I WILL GET ACCEPTED INTO THE JOHNS HOPKINS BSN/MSN PROGRAM STARTING SUMMER 2013. Positive thoughts work, right?
FYI: I also applied to Columbia, Ohio State, and UCLA.
Well, first and foremost, I am graduating in May so a break would be nice, not to mention I'm still going to be paying rent on my apartment through July! But also, I've read on here in past years threads that most people who start in the summer have to drop back and do the fall cohort's curriculum because it is too much... so I figured fall would just be better anyways.
Damn..when you say 'most people hold back' that's a big statement. I hope there's a reason they have the summer entry running cause people are finishing off in time. Plus I would say most people are not even on this website telling if they got accepted. It's just a bunch who have a hard time with the program and I won't be surprised if there are a few in every year's class that hold back. But I wouldn't say most. It is accelerated either way..either you handle the pressure or not. Sorry I am not trying to argue or anything but I think it isn't true. You actually scared me as it sounded like out of 100 students 70 of them hold back lol. But I hope we all will get through since it's a huge commitment.
If you look on past years threads, it has been stated that most of the summer students do fall back to the fall term. I'm just stating what many of us have already read - the summer term is very challenging and it's a lot to handle. But they aren't "held back", they just lessen their load of classes and graduate a little later.
I didn't get the chat email but am going to crash it anyway, heheh.
I think the regular decision process is unusually behind schedule this year. I turned everything in by Nov. 15 and got an email today saying my application is complete and that "[COLOR=#1f497d]Decision letters will be mailed beginning March 2013." For those of you who submitted everything in much ealier than I did, I hope that they inform you sooner than that.
By the way, is anyone else applying to the Peace Corps Fellows program?
