Hello All,
I attend CCBC-Dundalk (Maryland) and I was wondering if anyone know if grants or scholarships pay for summer classes since financial aid does not. I really hate that financial aid does not cover summer.

Have you talked with your financial aid office? You might be able to get a summer pell grant. Does your state offer grants? I think it is best to speak with your financial aid office and hopefully they could offer some solutions. Good luck!

I got a summer pell grant for AACC. I'm sure CCBC has something similar.

This is definitely cheating, but last summer, I "transferred" to another school, and was offered grants that would have covered tuition for the year that had just passed.
There were 2 options on the application - "transient" (meant for summer-only students; does not offer grants) and "transfer." I obviously didn't stay at that school, but it was the only way I could take 4 much-needed classes over the summer without shelling out money I didn't have. Because I was already registered for fall classes at my usual school, I didn't have to transfer back - just had to send the transcript after summer ended.
Thank you all for the feedback/responses. I will check with financial aid tomorrow.

Depends on the type if financial aid you were awarded. If its a student Loan it covers summer semester. If its truly a grant, pell or other wise it does not cover summer classes.
