I started a second job in home care this summer and have becoming acclimated to that.

My kids are good and I've even gotten some sun!

Other than that I've been here on AN, as you can tell by my elevated post count!

My first official day back is 8/31.

Hot! It has been a warm summer!. I am mentally prepping myself to return to work in 3 weeks fter taking off almost a full year of maternity leave. Its going to kill me not to be with my baby!

I really need the summer to cool off and slow down!!

I have been doing home health care also this summer - it was my fulltime job for 8 years, now I help them out when I can. Unfortunately my summer is almost over! 2 weeks to start of school!

Dd aren't you new to school nursing? Were you the nurse that got your job right at the end of last year's school year?

This will be my first year as a school nurse! I will be in elementary school. I am also on maternity leave and trying to prepare myself to start working and start new job! We start this Thursday the 6th.

Yes! Our school nurse decided to retire pretty much on the last day of school, and I got the job a couple weeks after. I loved home health and might still be there, but I had a "need to be a mom" moment and left to stay home with my kids. I'm looking forward to the new adventure!

No complaints! Went from orthopedics to a behavioral health unit, stayed there for a few months up until graduation last month (BS in health promotion) and accepted a VISTA position with AmeriCorps to work in public health. Off to LA tomorrow, then I will be spending the next year in Alaska :) Planning on using the education award so I can pay for the RN program next year.

It's been a very hot summer, so looking forward to the change in climate..
