Summer 2020 ATL Residencies

Published

Hello everyone! Just wanted to see how everyone's application process is going with residency programs for the major hospitals around Atlanta. I think most have opened up by now. Curious to see what others have to say and where they are in the process.

@MyaRN2020 I interviewed for L&d. And thank you!!

Interviewing with Northside for NICU next week. Nervous but excited!

Did you have your interview? I was supposed to interview yesterday at a hiring event for OB, but it got cancelled due to COVID-19... They sent an email saying that they were "working on virtual options" ☹️

Yes. My in person interview got cancelled the night before it was supposed to happen, but the next day the recruiter reached out and I got a Skype interview scheduled. I had it a few days ago and hope to hear back sometime this week! They will probably reach out to you soon to reschedule, but it might take them a little longer since it was a hiring event and they probably have to reschedule a large group of people.

Did anyone get contacted yet about a day and time for a virtual interview for northside in Lawrenceville?

Nopee... got an email today saying they will be contacting people individually if their resume sparks interest. Keep an eye out for an email!!

@callmetallcake yes! And the survey. Hoping we hear something soon!

I got the same email with the survey today what units are y’all interested in??

@jansenrenee22 my top choice is L&D but I also did NICU and surgical preop. What about you?

@Emr2 same!! I put L&D for my first choice, mother/baby for my second, and NICU for third I’m not gonna get my hopes up though every hospital I’ve applied to has little to no spots for women’s services other than Northside Atlanta

@jansenrenee22 I know! It’s so hard to get into right out of school I feel like. I’ve kind of accepted I may have to do med surg for a year or so and then try to get in L&D again.

@Emr2 yeah it really is!! I wish I would’ve gotten a nurse externship in L&D or something I feel like it would’ve helped!! And yeah so have I! I had an interview for oncology with wellstar but I haven’t heard anything back from it they only give you 48 hours to accept it though. So I’m hoping I hear something back from Northside soon ?
