Suggestions on RN starting up as a Holistic Nurse,

How does an RN begin to get her feet wet in Holistic Nursing without becoming broke in the process,. I live in a rural area, Always loved Holistic nursing....what is the best way to get accreditations or certifications in this and get a job doing so.....sorry so many questions ....just so frustrated with conventional nursing.

Wow... thanks for such a great wealth of information. I have been in HH/Hospice for years. Trying to relocate to Florida Panhandle in next month or so... would love to incorporate more holistic teaching with my patients... you are very knowledgeable. Can you make any recommendations on courses or colleges offering info like this? I have considered Reiki, but am more drawn to the use of herbs and such as my grandfather was considered a "shaman" way back when.

I recommend joining the American Holistic Nurses Association. You can go to their website and peruse the education. There is a lot of great info out there. Good luck!
