thanks suzzane. Will i be needing dual citizenship in the Philippines? I know Canada allows dual citizenship. thanks again..

With things going on as they are now in the Philippines, there is no reason that I would recommend dual-citizenship with that country and your new one. Even if you have citizenship in another country, you are bound to follow the rules in place and those that will be placed while you are in school and will be required to complete them, as if you do not hold citizenship in any other country.

What ever rules they put into place, if not a citizen there, then you could be exempt from some of them, such as if the NLE becomes mandatory, or mandatory internship. And yes, Canada normally requires licensure in the home country before you can get licensed there. So if a citizen of PI, then you would be required to sit for the NLE. If you do not hold that citizenship, then it is waived for you.

Check out what I have posted in that Canadian post concerning jobs there now.

How about my school? Chinese General Hospital College of Nursing?

Established since 1921.. One of the oldest schools of nursing in the Phils., with a base tertiary hospital, CGHMC with more than 200 beds.. CGHCN also has one of the lowest tuition fees to date, when i was still there (2006), the cost was only 320pesos per unit.. The three airconditioned audio-visual rooms were just newly-built.. Just suggestin'.. Hehehe :)

It is extremtly easy to verify anything with the provinces in Canada.

Sorry, but even telling me that PRC has approved something, when they have been involved in everything that has gone wrong the past year, just does not make any sense.

Same way that they have approved LPN schools there, but they do not accept the LPN for working in your country. And the US government does not accept it for immigration. So just because they have approved something, just does not make any difference to working in another country. They are having problems that trying to get things done legally in your country.

Okay, point taken. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ma'am Suzanne. So for all students/potential students here in the Philippines, please check your intended school of study with the place/country of your intended employment for your peace of mind.
