I'm starting a nursing program in January, and I was just wondering if there were any suggestions from those of you who have been through this before me. Whether it be what shoes are the best to how to prepare for all the work ahead of me. I will take any tips you have. Maybe you can help me think of some things I never would have considered. Thanks!

Congrats on beginning nursing school!
I would say be prepared for the large amount of time that needs to be devoted to school. Take advantage of any tutoring or extra help your school offers.
I also found that working as a nurses aide helped me build confidence and made clinical a lot easier.
Good luck!

A quick allnurses search for "tips" or "first year student" would do you a lot of good.

If at all possible work as much as you can now and so you can cut back on your hours while you are in school. I thought before starting nursing school I could handle work and school no problem. Now I'm working 16 hours a week and I think that's hard! Other than that just stay focused on what your there for and realize it takes a lot of work but it's worth it.
