Dr. Dale Dubin's "Rapid Interpretation of EKGs" is an exceelent book. He was a great author but had drug issue problems. No longer licensed in the U. S. but does practice outside our country. :stone

Really, wow, never knew that. Anyway, my vote is for his book. The main thing I like about his method is he shows you how to pick apart ANY rhythm to identify it correctly, instead of just showing what each common rhythm usually looks like.

In my experience, over the years of observing real rhythms on the monitor, the uniqueness of each individual can sometimes make it difficult to just match the rhythm on the screen or printout with the "perfect" example in many books to determine what it is. Often a rhythm is a muddle of several different problems at the same time. Knowing why a rhythm is a certain way is very helpful. Just my 2 cents.

I knew Dale when he practiced at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York. He went into plastic surgery and moved to Tampa, Florida. He did some corrective surgery on me and asbout three years later was arrested for dealing with drugs and his patients. Lost his Florida license and went off to the British Virgin Islands. He has a great practice there. Don't know if he continued to have drug problems but I guess not. He is still practicing. :chuckle
