Suffolk County Community College Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi I'm applying to Suffolk's nursing program for Fall 2019. Just giving room for everyone to chat as we get closer to the deadline ( Jan 15 ) , can anyone offer any information in term of points for acceptance, available seating and difficulty of the program ?

I applied for the RN day program. Ammerman 1st choice and Grant 2nd choice.

RN day... Ammerman 1st, Grant 2nd!

Rn day Ammerman 1st, grant 2nd

Grant RN day 1st choice, good luck everyone!

Does anyone know if the rubric score or the TEAS score is the deciding factor? I scored advanced on my test but have rubric score in low 70’s....

No idea! I saw some people who have posted in previous years saying they have proficient scores with a 75 on teas test and A&Bs in prereqs and have 70 rubric score which doesn't make sense to me bc I have As in every pre req except micro which I'm taking now and got a 76 on teas. My rubric score is only 60 something and I doubt I'm getting in. So frustrating.

I keep hearing mixed answers. On the rubric it says that if rubric scores are tied, it will come down to the TEAS score, but then I hear the highest TEAS is what’s accepted first. Feel like I am just on the cusp of acceptance and being rejected.

@jdens I think Im in the same boat as you. My Teas is advanced but my rubric score is in the low 70s so I’mI think I’m boarder line. Not sure about the rubric/teas thing but I have heard that. i believe the teas are a deciding factor for most people because it gives the most points. @LMC64 don’t say that you never know !

@bshand123 oh man! I’m losing sleep over how low my rubric score is!!! I’ve recalcuated maybe 5 times hoping I made a mistake somewhere...I didn’t. I’ve read in my previous threads that people received emails on their Suffolk email prior to receiving physical letters, but I believe you’ve never attended before right?

I’m a registered student, but never took classes

My informed delivery for today says a piece of mail cannot have image displayed, anyone else?

Nothing for me
