Suffolk County Community College 2017 Applicants

I am getting so anxious. I can not believe my letter is still being "processed" has anyone gotten a waitlisted letter? Is anyone else still waiting for any type of letter? Anytime I call I get a different response as to when to expect my letter.

just wanted to let you know, a girl I know got a call today that she was accepted. I'm assuming since the money was due yesterday, she was waitlisted and then made it due to people not making payments. It's very odd though because she scored advanced and had some pre reqs so not sure why she would have been waitlisted when some people got in with a 78 and no pre-reqs. But hopefully you find out very soon now that the deposit date has passed. Good luck!

Well that gives me hope but how odd is that, that she was even waitlisted then? I feel like there's no rhyme or reason unless she did very poorly in all of her pre-reqs. Do you know if she got a waitlist letter first or just heard nothing until the phone call?

She said she called two days ago, they called her back the next day and told her she was accepted, and that they did send her a letter. I guess she just never got it.

Still waiting I had a proficient score 75 as well. I have been calling daily hah! Apparently my letter was sent out Tuesday so we'll see. I'm waiting patiently for the mail right now, hoping to get something today or tomorrow. This has been the longest process of my life.

Mail came. Nothing from Suffolk. Called central admissions and was told we should get soemthing end of this week/beginning of next. So she doesn't even have anything stating a letter has been sent to me but when I called grant directly yesterday I was told a letter was sent on Tuesday. So no idea what's happening. Hopefully we'll know soon. Hard not to get impatient when so many others got a response 3 weeks ago.

Really?? We don't know if they are telling the truth or not. They should just post online to make it easier or just inform us directly. I think I am losing hope at this time, it is almost end of March. For sure, all seats are taken already.

I know. I have been given so many different responses from the start. I ended up speaking directly to the counselor for the RN program last week and she told me letters will be sent by end of this week but then I got the Tuesday answer. No clue. I am losing hope as well but also not sure why sending out all the denial letters would take this long? People we're denied in beginning of month too. I haven't seen anyone get in with a proficient score yet though but again, this forum has a very small pool compared to actual applicants so who knows. Just want them to send me an answer. I wonder if they are able to tell you via phone.
