Suffolk Community College Fall 2018

Hi,

anyone out there applying for the fall 2018 program at Suffolk?

Has anyone called to see if they mailed out letters yet? I'm sure everyone will get a different answer anyway but I'm curious. If not, they are behind last year. Last year most letters went out feb 28th and we're received between march 2-4 with the exception of me and a few who seemed to be on the cusp (maybe coincidence) and didn't get my denial until march 27th! Hoping for an earlier and better response this year. I have all pre reqs except microbio and last year I got a 75 on the TEAS , this year I got an 83. Really would love to know by next week.

I was wondering the same thing if anyone called about if they were mailed out. I'm praying we get them tomorrow by some miracle lol

Hi if you don't mind me asking what were your pre-req grades when you applied last year?

I also have all pre-reqs except microbio and got a 75 on the TEAS so your post is making me nervous .

I tried calling but it kept telling me the wait time was 20 minutes and eventually hung up on me. I would love to call today but I'm at work all day until 11 PM. If anyone calls please post any info!

So, I spoke to Rita from nursing admissions office this afternoon and the answer wasn't good. She said letters will be mailed out in the end of March/ beginning of April. Does anyone know when registration for summer/fall semester begins? I would think they would want us to know before that :(

She told me that weeks ago too. That's the latest they've ever been sent then. However like I said I didn't get mine until march 27th last year and others got it around March 2-4 so I wonder if she's covering all bases as far as when the LAST ones will go out. Last year the deposit was due march 15th. I said it last year and I'll say it again... they really need to work this out. They should have electronic letters so everyone receives it at the same time and they should make all their decisions at once.

Honestly I have to look at my pre req grades again to refresh my memory but I believe they were A's and B's. There was someone who got in with the same TEAS score as me but slightly different grades on our pre reqs so I must have been really on the cusp. I think that's why my letter took so long too. Hoping the extra 20 points now will help but I'm still not feeling super confident. A lot of the posts here had incredible TEAS scores. At this point, I need a back up plan so I hope they tell us soon.

That's interesting, I just tried calling and no answer. I wonder why at the seminar they kept saying they're sending them earlier but on the phone they say late. I'm hoping they're wrong :(

Yeah I agree.. I think they are Just giving us the lasted possible dates that people will be receiving them. I'm thinking by Friday or Monday people will begin to receive letters.

I can't keep waiting! I need to know what I will be doing. Does anyone have any suggestions of where else to apply in case not accepted to Suffolk?

I called earlier & they told me mid-march -beginning of april :( but they told them the same thing last year & people started receiving them march 3rd
