Sudafed

Are you in a monitoring program or just an LPN worried about dropping dirty for a routine UDS with your employer?

EDIT: went back to read some of your other posts and it appears you are in monitoring. You have also taken benadryl in the past and worried about testing positive. If you contract states not to take benadryl or sudafed (which most do) then I'd stop playing with it, because you're eventually gonna get popped. Not saying you don't legitimately have allergies but talk to your doc and get a script or something because this isn't going to end well if you keep chancing it.

WOW! u have done your due diligence on me.Yes I’m in monitoring but it is for alcohol and not drugs despite having to take random drug and alcohol tests.Been in it for a lil over a year now.28 test so far and all negative .Yes I was worried about Benadryl once and I stopped taking it.I took the Sudafed out of frustration w my sinuses .I shouldn’t have taken it I kno but I was desperate.Maybe I’m just worrying too much but hopefully the test can decipher Sudafed and Amphetamine.I'm hoping so

Alcohol was my DOC too. Most of the monitoring programs have a stipulation not to take Sudafed, and that’s regardless of whether you are in monitoring for drugs or alcohol, or even a lie somebody made up that got you in monitoring (which happens). I would defer to your contract to see if you were barred from taking Pseudoephedrine. My guess is it’s a banned med - I’m in sobriety court for a DUI and they very specifically told me not to take it. When in doubt, defer to your contract, as that is all they can legally enforce. If it is in your contract not to take, then I don’t think you are being paranoid at all. I wouldn’t chance it again, though I know sinus issues are crappy.

Do u recommend I reach out and tell my case manager??

Test just came back negative..Thank U Jesus.I won’t use Sudafed again.the stress and worry isn’t worth it.ill just stay stuffy

I stayed stuffed up for 5 years and I wasn’t even sentenced to this garbage for any kind of drug or alcohol stuff. 5+ years of no benedryl or real Sudafed....ugh, I’m pretty sure my sinuses were full of cement. I was not about to give these clowns a reason to trap me in that hell one minute longer.

Bizarrely, while trapped in the ‘approved’ treatment program that I was manipulated into (another story altogether) I went to their little ‘clinic’ complaining about my allergies and sinusitis crap. So what does their quack give me? Zyrtec D....aka Sudafed....

I mean it worked, but really????
