I haven't seen a thread so far for Seattle University BSN applicants for Fall of 2017. I have submitted my application and I know that they are going to be holding interviews at the end of this month and beginning of March. I was curious to know if anyone has gotten an email asking them to attend an interview yet? I know we are only in the first week of Feb but thought they would at least send something out now for people to plan in advance for there interview.
Also since this is a new year how about we leave a little bit about ourselves for the people who applied. I will start..
I will be a transfer student currently holding a A.S degree. I applied with a 3.3 prereq GPA. I still have nutrition and microbiology to complete by the spring and hope that the last classes to complete will bring my GPA to a 3.4. As far as experience goes I was a CNA for about 5 years straight out of high school and currently now a Medical Assistant for the past 2. As a medical assistant I have worked at Swedish Medical Group here in Seattle in an urgent care type setting and currently now UW Medical ER department. All paid experience. I did receive a letter of req from a NP that I worked with at Swedish, but I know SU does not necessarily require a letter of req. I am hoping that my experience will compensate for my somewhat lower GPA. I worked full time while going full time to finish my prereq's and hope that is a dedication they will see when reviewing my application.
I also received an email! My app says that it is still under review, but I got all my financial aid award info! I'm not too sure what to think of it either, but I'm sure we'll hear from admissions soon because I believe letters were sent out today :)

I'm so nervous!!! Hahaha. I'll be checking my mail like crazy all weekend. I didn't apply to financial aid either so I am starting to see a trend. Ya'll will be the first to hear
I received an email with a link to access the admission decision. Does anyone else's acceptance say that the decision is provisional and additional information is required to complete enrollment? So excited!

Could you provide us with a little more info about the email you received? Does it state that a packet with the "formal offer of acceptance" has been mailed to the address in your file? And does is state "Acceptance to fall 2017 to pursue the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree"?

Yes it says both of those and at the end states congratulations on your acceptance to Seattle University.
