Curious, (I am currently in pre-nursing student mode) O.k. so with all the news regarding new grads (RN's) finding it hard to find a job, CAN a new RN grad apply to an LVN position and get the LVN pay???

Why would that be a good thing?

Why would it be a "bad" thing?

Thanks!

The employer I just left hired me, an RN, to work as an RN in an LPN position. I made more than an lpn but less if I was an RN in an RN position. My job description was for an lpn but since I was an RN I could do those duties also.

This is a classic example of one of the problems with this idea -- exploitation by the employers. They get an RN doing an RN's job at a lower-than-RN cost; it works out just fine for them, but rips you off.
