1) Does anyone have an idea of what would fall under tubes/drains/appliances?

2) When they want to know about intake and output are they referring to SaO2 results?

3) What section of the pt's medical chart can I get the pt's respiration results?

Please help a novice nurse student...Thanks in advance

Tubes -

GT, NG, IV, PICC line, ect

Drains -

nephro stents, cath bag, wound vac, ect,

Appliances -

vent???, trach??? kinda stumped with this one.

Intake/Output

Intake consists of what the pt drinks, IV fluid, ect

Output consists of what the pt urinates, vomits, etc

3)Pt respirations should be listed with the vitals done by the CNA or yourself. Where in the chart you would find this is probally in the nurse's notes? Again, I do not know exactuly what you are asking.

HTH!

Thanks so much

These questions sure look like homework to me. You aren't doing yourself any favors by getting someone to do it for you.

I could ask questions here or ask my clinical professor who is annoying to look at b/c she has this condescending look on her face. I don't think the school text book has the answers, i will have to buy a book specifically for clinical.
