Form your own opinions, just because people say OMG this is so hard certainly does not mean it will be for you.
Have faith in your age, when yore young things may come naturally a lot easier to you, but when youre older you have experiences that help more than you will realize. Being out of school a while is no detriment to your success, id be willing to bet money its easier for people 40 + to stay focused on the task at hand just do to the fact that they've lived and learned how to prioritize and focus down a goal.
