hi, I am looking for a study partner who will be taking the nclex in feb. I am a lvn student in my last level and graduate jan 2016. I am using this study guide https://ncsbn.org/FINAL_2014_PN_DTP_Educator_Version.pdf to prepare for the nclex.

*signed documents specific instructions for health treatments when pt unable to make decisions
∎Review client understanding of living will
*document directs treatment if terminally ill- can request pain relieve meds, CPR, mech resp-antibiotic-tube feeding-organ transplant. two witnessed req - neither may be a relative or physician- if nurse witness must document
some living wills only to terminally ill pts - coma-distabled state-
Autonomy - pt can refuse medical treatment- jehovah witness refuse blood transfusions
Review client understanding of health care proxy
Review client understanding of Durable Power of Attorney* agent, surrogate, proxy make health care decisions on the patient's behalf based on pts wishes- have access to your medical records

Resources I am using now are saunders book, my fundamentals book, and my adult health book so far

What I would've done differently would be to have been able to take it as soon as possible and not be scared of the results. Failing is not the end of the world.
Study wise, I'm glad I took the Life Savers review course. I don't mean to sound like I am sponsored by them or anything... lol. They teach you a lot of good test taking strategies and how to break down the questions. Something you do not learn in school.
I could've studied more, I'm sure if I would've done more questions I could have passed it at 85.
I mean, I am still not 100% sure if I passed, but I do feel pretty confident.
I guess I will have to wait 3-6 weeks and I will definitely keep this thread updated!!!
