Hi rosy3,
I'm at Humber now, just finished my first year in the direct entry program. Congrats on your acceptance! I suspect your prep semester of A&P is very different from ours, since we covered it over 2 semesters but essentially, grab the text book and start skimming through it. We covered a lot and I'm not sure which parts of it you'll cover or in how much detail. You can also try Anatomy and Physiology Made Incredibly Easy - it's a good starting place and really makes concepts simple. Overall though, I wouldn't worry too much about it. A&P wasn't too bad, just make sure you're present at all classes and any tutorials/labs since they all come up on the exam (and are great for reinforcing concepts).
Good luck and hopefully I'll see you in the winter semester when you guys join us :)
hi,
nice to hear from you. ya surely we will meet. How is microbiology and pathophisiology. in much detail do we need to study it. how r the exams like is it fine to write the exam if we study wat they teach in the class or we have to study extra.

Well, unfortunately, I have only done A&P so far. We cover Patho in second year (and I've heard it's tough) and Micro in third year. What to study can depend on the instructor. For A&P we had ****, he's awesome and you are fine to study off his notes but you also need to know the info covered in the labs and tutorials. If you attend everything, you likely won't even crack the text - he actually told us it was optional to buy/use it!
For nursing classes, you'll have to do some of your own research and review. They're definitely tougher :)
Please can anyone tell me what topics are covered in the nervous system in anatomy and physiology.
also, what topics are studied in the pathophysiology for nervous system. thank you.
