Hello! Thanks for the info. I haven't found any threads for InterAmerican.. I plan to attend this August. Have you considered going to that school?

Hello! Thanks for the info. I haven't found any threads for InterAmerican.. I plan to attend this August. Have you considered going to that school?

Hi!

Since I lived in PR all my life I know most college ove there. I was doing my research on school ove there. I plan to start in August also, but in UMET Bayamón Campus because the track is faster and the have 2 nursing program acreditation meaning that is not going to be a problem if I want my license in X state.

The best school in PR is UPR RCM (University of Puerto Rico). Is hte cheapest and most prestigious one. In their website they have all the info you need to know. You have to find out in their website what GPA the require for the nursing program. I believe they are semestral.

UMET and UPR nursing program both have AACN and ACEN acreditation.

About Interamerican they have only ACEN acreditation. I think they have english nursing program and their program is trimestral. I read in a thread that their profesors don teach that much so you have to study by your own but thats something you have to do anyways if you really want to kick NCLEX or whatever test requare for your licence.

What Inter American campus you plan to go?

If for any reason you change your mind and want to go to UMET let me know.

I don't know if you live in PR but do you plan to stay and do your profesional career over there?

Wow! I had no idea InterAmerican had one accreditation. I applied recently and I plan to visit in May. I'm from California. Now that you told me about the accreditation, I'll apply there as well. My friend went to school in Rio Piedras, I assumed it was InterAmerican because I read a lot of old threads about it.. But they never mentioned which school.

can you please send me a link of where I can apply for UMET or UPR?

Also, I read that UMET was longer than Inter?

I plan to only move to PR to do the BSN program and then move back to CA once I graduate.

my plan was to go to the Metro Campus in San Juan for InterAmerican and live in the housing near school.

Oh Ok, I like et better because they have both acreditation. All the clases, labs and clinics in Intermetro are in english? I was thinking in moving to Cali also after I finish. The thing is that I don't know nobody there. I love NY but the cold.

Ill live near umet Bayamon campus I know very well the area.

How much is the UMET program? I heard InterAmer is 15 grand, 2-2.5 years. I heard UMET is 3-4 years. I don't think clinicals will be in English.. Depending on patients I guess. I don't speak Spanish but I'm determined to move to Puerto Rico for school.

It's currently really hot in CA. You'll like it here although, many nurses here are having a hard time finding jobs, some of my friends are leaving CA to work at other states. I heard NY is the highest paying for nurses.

Umet is cheaper than Inter. I dont know how much is exactly. Im gonna study during night so the classes are every 8 weeks. Umet day program is semestral but I don't like it because my goal is to finish my asociate in a year and move back to NY. And I woul like to have my day off for clinics, to study and just in case I need to find a job.

Its sad that is hard find jobs in Ca :( well I gess Om staying in NY. Yes they pay very well.

Do you know someone in PR?

I don't know anyone in PR :(. People that I knew already graduated and came back to CA. I'm trying to find other Californians who are interested as well.

That is so sad :( you can contact me if you want. Do you have IG?

Aw, thank you! :) I do! What's your IG name.. I'll find ya! Hahah
