  1. That is so sad you can contact me if you want. Do you have IG?
  2. Umet is cheaper than Inter. I dont know how much is exactly. Im gonna study during night so the classes are every 8 weeks. Umet day program is semestral but I don't like it because my goal is to finish my asociate in a year and move back to NY. And I woul like to have my day off for clinics, to study and just in case I need to find a job. Its sad that is hard find jobs in Ca well I gess Om staying in NY. Yes they pay very well. Do you know someone in PR?
  3. :: UMET- Universidad Metropolitana Umet admission aplication. Is in spanish but you can use google translator. ACEN acredited programs in PR 500 (Internal Server) Error - We've happened upon a bit of a problem... AACN acredited programs in PR http://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/rptAccreditedPrograms_New.asp?state=PR&sFullName=Puerto%20Rico Ill live near umet Bayamon campus I know very well the area.
  4. Oh Ok, I like et better because they have both acreditation. All the clases, labs and clinics in Intermetro are in english? I was thinking in moving to Cali also after I finish. The thing is that I don't know nobody there. I love NY but the cold.
  5. Hi! Since I lived in PR all my life I know most college ove there. I was doing my research on school ove there. I plan to start in August also, but in UMET Bayamón Campus because the track is faster and the have 2 nursing program acreditation meaning that is not going to be a problem if I want my license in X state. The best school in PR is UPR RCM (University of Puerto Rico). Is hte cheapest and most prestigious one. In their website they have all the info you need to know. You have to find out in their website what GPA the require for the nursing program. I believe they are semestral. UMET and UPR nursing program both have AACN and ACEN acreditation. About Interamerican they have only ACEN acreditation. I think they have english nursing program and their program is trimestral. I read in a thread that their profesors don teach that much so you have to study by your own but thats something you have to do anyways if you really want to kick NCLEX or whatever test requare for your licence. What Inter American campus you plan to go? If for any reason you change your mind and want to go to UMET let me know. I don't know if you live in PR but do you plan to stay and do your profesional career over there?
  6. Hi everyone! :) Today is March 11, 2015 If you woul like to study nursing in Puerto Rico this might be helpful. First, I live in NY. Nursing promgramas here are very competitive, even in private school. And thay ask for a lot of requirements. So I'm moving to PR this summer to finish my associate degree in nursing. I'll be going to UMET Bayamón from Ana G. Mendez System. About the program They have practical nurse Certificate, associate Degree, Bachellor degree and Master degree. Schedule, hours, days Day program: The programs during the day are semestral. There are 2 semester, 1 starts on mid August to mid December and the second one from Mid January to mid May then if you woul like you can take summer clases. Night program classes are every 8 weeks. Agust-October October-December January-March March-June And summer There are diferent classes hours and dates, including weekend classes. REQUIREMENS The only requirement is 2.30 GPA ACREDITATION This system wich has around 5 schools Is certificated by the MSCHE (Middle State Commision on Higer Education)and the nursing program is certificate by CCNE (Acreditation Commision for Educational Nurse) LANGUAGE Clases are in Spanish. Only UMET Bayamon have a bilingual (English/Spanish) nursing program. This is during the night and is a Bachellor degree. With this program you can have a Register nurse license and you can work in United States. Contact your state Board of Nursing before you made a decision to see what are the requirement to have a licence in your state.
