Decisions, decisions!

Hi all,

I am fortunate enough to have gotten interviews at Samuel Merritt and OSHU. I've scoured the forum for information about both schools, but was hoping someone would shed some more light on the OSHU interview process, experiences about either school, and in the end, which one is the better program. I know I am jumping the gun a little, and I may not get into either, but I figured I would start gathering information!

Thank you all!

When did you hear from OHSU for an interview?

When did you hear from OHSU for an interview?

I go an email on Friday last week to set up an interview for the end of January.

What was your gre, gpa, years experience?

One of my friends interviewed at OHSU last year, they said the interview was short and to the point. They ask about you, why you want to go there, and they also gave him a clinical scenario and asked what he would do. I would definitely know my pressors and be able to speak to how you would use them given a sick pt. Good luck!

I got an email 1/13, interview dates are Jan 28-29

GRE 314, 3.5 gpa . I have 2 years ER, 1 year OR, and currently just over a year of CSICU experience at a Level one hospital. I have never been to Portland before, so if anyone has an interview and wants to meetup/direct me to one of the great microbreweries I have heard of I would definitely be up for it!

Specializes in ICU and OR.

Great GRE score! I have tons of experience (5 ICU, 6 OR), but low on the GRE. I guess I'm going to have to retake it if I want to get in somewhere. I haven't heard from OHSU yet. í ½í¸”

Sorry for the late reply. GRE 315, GPA 3.7, 2.5 yrs ER and just hit 2 yrs in the ICU, CCRN.

I live in Portland and would love to meet up, or at the very least point you in the right direction! So many good breweries here.

Specializes in ICU.

So, did you end up having any decision to make? :)
