Student nursing jobs

Iam a nursing student and I was told that hospitals will hire student nurses to work as a unit secertary. Does anyone know if this true? I work at a restaurant now and would love to get a job related to the medical field. Any input or advise would be apperciated. Thanks.:)

I live in GA, and they do hire for externships with an ADN program. That is what I am in. I work as a Nurse Extern. Hope this helps

that does help. how is the externship? whats your typical day like? also what were the requirements to get in? does it pay okay for an externship? do you like it?
