I was just wondering if there were any student nurses in upstate NY that come to this site? If so what school are you attending? Just being curious....

St E's is a tough school, but you will get a good education there. It is nice that the Hosp is so connected to the school.... I was going to attend there, but we moved to IN instead..
Lisa,
Did you go to St. E's at all? It is a tough school. Lots of clinical experience though...

I graduated from St. Joe's. It's a tough program but worth it. I highly recommend taking your pre-req's first and not with the nursing courses.
Teachers are tough and demanding, but it makes us all better nurses and it clearly shows. I am quite proud of the reputation of the school and very proud to be a grad of the school. Our class passed the boards with a 99% pass rate. That's typical of Joe's. We have been well educated. Look forward to seeing you for your psych rotation. I work on the psych floor and love it.

It's a bit of a stretch, since I'm in Seattle now, but I'm applying to the direct entry programs at University of Rochester for 2005. They look great!

Hi, from Rochester NY! I will be starting June 22, attending the LPN program at Rochester EOC (SUNY Brockport).
NurseHeather- You lucky lady, you! MCC's waiting list is almost three years long! I had to settle for EOC, but it's a means to an end...and I just want to be a nurse.

I'm in Jamestown, NY (70 miles southwest of Buffalo). I am entering the ADN program at Jamestown Community College. After I finish, I plan to go right on for my BSN - possibly an accelerated BSN/MSN combined. Hopefully my future employer will be paying for it!
