Has anyone applied? or know how many they take and when we will find out? Let me know!

Thanks!

I still haven't heard either. I just want to know either way. Also trying not to give up hope but thinking that I need to start applying to other schools. I was told I would hear in mid may. Come on!!

I got accepted to Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions BSN-DNP/FNP program for this fall. They are new but accredited. According to my research, they are an exceptional school and based on my contact with them so far I am very impressed. I am glad that I got into this school instead of TTHSC. I am not going to waste precious time on re-applying to TTHSC. Things happen for a reason....this will be better in the long run for me. The DNP will be done and I will never have to go through this application process again. They have an excellent curriculum and I am excited! I will be well prepared. You can still apply until July 23 if anyone wants to give it a shot.

Specializes in L&D, Critical Care.

Congrats to you and best of luck! I'm still weighing my options and trying to study for the GRE, then I will apply to some more programs for spring. Wanting to stay within TX so the tuition isn't so high. Hopefully I'll get into somewhere for spring. I'm so over this application process!!

Specializes in ER\NICU.

I also applied to Rocky Mountain, but they are not ccne accredited yet, they are still in the application process, so it worries me to go through all that schooling and not be able to sit your boards. They sound like an amazing school and the program would also be doable for me as well

I graduated from TTUHSC MSN ACNP 12/04 and post master's cert FNP 08/05. There was only 6 of us in ACNP class, and since I was already in ACNP, I did not have to apply to FNP program where there were a lot more students. I still live in Lubbock and practice here.

I am currently in the TTUHSC FNP program and I am looking to get my ACNP post-masters. How did the application process work? Any suggestions?!

Well, I can't even remember if I completed an application, but I probably did. They let me take my last semester of practicum in ANCP with my first semester of clinical hours of family at the same time in Fall 2004. Then I had to do Spring 05, Summer 05 with Family, then finished. If you do ACNP, my friend is the faculty for that program and she is awesome! Talk to Tara Hilliard and see what she says. She is ACNP faculty.

Wonderful! Thank you for the info!

I know this was an old post, but I am starting the DNP program at Rocky Mountain University in August. Any tips, or advice you could offer me for success in this program?
